  Like other reviewers, having previously praised these boots, the durability of the Velcro fastening is poor. The Velcro has completely come away from the boot, meaning they can't be secured properly, and the elastic strap quickly overstretched which was disappointing. I got 3 months use out of them during the snow last winter, but am slightly cross that they have had to be ditched before they were outgrown, not jojo's usual quality.

  These are great boots and they are a good buy. They kept my little one upright and he didn't slip on any ice. HOWEVER, one anoying and unslightly factor given the price is that the ankle strap has frayed, I can only imagine I am not the only person to experience this since the strap is made from a woven tape that has frayed because of coming into contact with velcro.   Love and dislike these boots. Love = my daughters feet have never got wet, and have stayed snug and warm. They are also fairly sturdy with a good solid, grippy sole. Dislike = these are our second pair as the first had to be returned as the stitching around the Velcro areas unravelled. No problems at our local shop, they swapped for a new pair. However, I can see the same starting again, although not as bad as the first pair. Also, the little metal elongated ring that the strap goes through twists so the strap also twists - have to spend time untwisting the strap before putting on. In addition, I would have liked the strap to be a but shorter as I need to pull it tight to get a snug fit on my daughters ankle. Pulling it tight means I can't get a good stick Velcro to velcro. So, I will prob look elsewhere for winter boots this winter which is a shame.

  I was delighted when I saw these snow boots with the water proof foot bit. So I ordered my 3 yr old son a pair. Usually I find the shoe sizes very generous, so I ordered a size 9, as he is an 8 and half. They fit fine, but certainly are a smaller fit than other shoes I've bought. He wont have a lot of growing room, but they are perfect for this winter. I'm surprised people said they are hard to get on, they open out on both sides of the boot and the ankle strap also loosens. My son has a high arch and boots are never an easy thing to get on him, but I had no problem with these at all. Lovely and snug for him, he loves them. The foot part is water proof, so no big puddles in these, i wouldn't put them on for a rainy day. But like others have said, water proof dungarees over top and your sorted.

  Very happy with these boots for my 2 year old. He can almost put them on himself. I haven't found the same problem as other reviewers who think they should open wider. They're the same size as his normal wellies when strapped up and we can get them on with no problem. I found I have to undo both the bottom velcro strap and the side straps to make sure his foot goes all the way to the bottom. So far haven't found him with wet feet inside and we have a permanent puddle that he splashes in. He also runs successfully down hills in them so a good all rounder!

  These boots look really lovely and they seem very cosy and sturdy. After a trip to the park and lots of jumping in puddles, however, my 2-year-old daughter's feet were soaked. I think this is because, whilst the boots are waterproof, the tops are not water tight (as with wellies). In future I will put her waterproof trousers over the top of the boots and I'm sure this will solve the problem. It is great to find snow boots that are waterproof and I hope this will be the case!

  Not impressed!! Just returned from a walk with my daughter in her, and I quote "fully waterproof" snow boots, to find she has soaking wet feet. I bought these boots as we are outdoors a lot with the horses, in all weather's and walk the dog daily through the woods. I thought they would be a good alternative to wellies, and keep her feet warm as well as dry. Obviously they went tested sufficiently. Not a happy customer.

  I initially ordered the size 9 thinking they would be quite roomy but had to exchange for the size 10. Although the 10 appears to fit well the strap is too long and misses the velcro when pulled tight enough. My cobbler is altering the strap length. Depsite the sizing issues my daughter loves them and wore them all day when they arrived. The colour is lovely and it's great to have purple rather than the usual pink or blue. The waterproofing has not been put to the test yet however they appear watertight and are obviously both sturdy and warm.
