lovely coat, very comfy, and the best thing is that is actually 3in1 : can be used as maternity / babywearing coat and a normal coat after removing the insert

I really, really wanted this coat to be a perfect winter coat for me and my growing bump, but I thought it was an awful fit! I'm 4 months pregnant with twins, so I already have a fairly significant bump, although I wouldn't consider myself huge - and the coat swamped me. Not so much from a being to big perspective, but I found that the length (I am 5'4") was way too long, and the way it covered my boobs and bump made me look a lot bigger then I am. I guess I need something more fitted to maintain some shape, so I will be looking elsewhere. I do also agree that if there was some lining on the inside of the coat it would maybe sit a little better - the sleeves rode up as soon as I put the coat on, and I also think this would have driven me nuts.

I love this fleece. It's very comfortable and perfect for the days when it's not quite cold enough for a coat. It fits really well and I love the fact it comes with the extra zip panel..... Very clever!

I bought this coat for front babywearing with my 6 month old daughter. The coat works very well for that purpose. I'm a large busted size 12/14 and the 14 fits very well without the zip panel. The 12 was a bit snug. With the panel, the 14 easily fits me and my daughter, but not sure if it will last for when she is older...will have to see. I'm about 5ft 4 and the coat comes to just above my knee and looks pretty good (not like a dressing gown as I feared!).
It's a fairly thin fleece but is lovely and warm without being so warm it will cook us. It's also water repellent, as fleece is. The hood is excellent. It looks great without the panel too, kind of a smart ish fleece, more so than the shorter style ones. The pockets are nice and deep for keys, boots (baby ones that is!), hats etc. The only things I would like to see on this coat is a hanging loop (I've sewn in my own so no biggie) and lined sleeves, so your jumper sleeves don't end up by your arm pits! Oh, and different colours might have been nice as I would have preferred grey to black. Overall, very pleased with this coat and would recommend for babywearing.

I like this jacket a lot. It is quite big, like stated in other reviews so i would recommend buy one size smaller. I am usually a size 10; bought a size 8 and it fits me fine. Do not expect a body-fit jacket; it is, however, very cozy, comfortable and you can make it look casual or smart depending on what accessories you wear it with. I am 6 months pregnant now and i think it will look even better later on in my pregnancy. It is warm but do not expect to find in it a robust winter jacket. In the colder months you will definitely wear body warmers or jumpers underneath.

I'm still wearing mine five years later! I am wearing it right now! It is a thinnish fleece, stiffer than some fleeces, and I bought the 10, which fit right on the money, even though I'm very narrow on top and pear-shaped (usually hard to find things that fit my shape). It is just right for those inbetween days, it's lovely and long for the days when you feel giant bummed, and it's light enough to roll up and carry when the weather is unexpectedly hot half way through the day.

This looked really practical but I unfortunately had to send it back as it was too big and rather unflattering.
Amber on Monday, December 31, 2012
I'm normally a size 12-14, but bought a 10 as the reviews said go a size smaller. I think I should have got a 12 though, as the 10 is fine with only a thin top, but far too bulky and tight on the arms if I put a jumper on underneath. But altogether a nice jumper-coat. It's fine for a light shower, but you need a waterproof on top for anything heavier (impossible to find a maternity waterproof coat, so I'm using hubbies at the moment). I'm only 16 weeks, so using it without the extra zip. But it's kind of shaped for a bump anyway, so it might last for a fair bit longer without the extra panel in. Altogether I'd recommend, and am happy with my purchase.

A winter must have. Although it is a bit longer than in the picture.
Vicky on Friday, December 14, 2012
I returned this coat as it is really thin and shapeless, so not at all as it looks on the website pic. for some reason i was also expecting it to have a waterproof outer layer, but it doesn't. a real shame as pregnant women really do need decent outdoor wear! Maybe it would work as an inner fleece layer, but definitely not a coat.

This is a great idea for a jacket, especially during these winter months. The idea of the removable panel is really clever and practical. The panel was missing when my order arrived, however it was soon remedied when I rang to advise them and a replacement was sent out quickly. It feels very cosy and is ideal to wear over layers.
Sarah on Tuesday, December 11, 2012
This fleece was shapeless, didn't look good so returned
Mary Ireson on Saturday, December 08, 2012
Lovely coat, warm and a good fit, really pleased with it, makes me look pregnant rather than just fat!
Penny on Monday, December 03, 2012
This cost is ok, but definitely size down. I'm usually a size 12, occasionally 14, but this coat in 12 was like a tent at 6 months, even without the panel in. I've changed to a size 10, still plenty of room in the body, although not so spacious in the sleeves if you're planning to layer up with jumpers underneath in the colder months.
H James on Tuesday, November 20, 2012
I love my new coat. It fits me really well and will last me a while yet, I will be able to use it without the panel after the baby arrives or I can snuggle the baby in with me in the cold winter months.
Alison Makin on Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Hmm... I'm afraid I returned this as when it came it was way longer on me than I imagined (I'm 5 foot 3) and I looked like I was wearing a dressing gown!! I'm normally a size 10-12 and even without the extra panel the 12 was really big on me.
maggie on Tuesday, November 06, 2012
I really like this fleece, although remember it is just a fleece so not too warm. Works great as a liner under a bigger coat for winter. I ordered a size 12 as thats my pre-pregnancy size and am 36 weeks pregnant, fits great and has enough room to wear sweaters underneath to make it a little bit warmer. I am also quite tall, 182cm so it is the perfect length for me (mid thigh), I would imagine it would be a bit long on others but I am sure it would look great if it were longer too. Great fall or spring jacket, looking forward to wearing it post pregnancy.
Margaret Urwin on Monday, October 22, 2012
I bought this coat for my daughter. The coat is a good fit, her due date is January so it will need layers if it is very cold. The length is good she is 5 foot 5. she also likes the idea of being able to unzip front panel post pregnancy
Sarah on Sunday, October 21, 2012
I would agree with the other reviews - this coat is more functional than fashionable, but it does the job! It is plenty big enough and definitely not for shorter ladies.
Jenny Catton on Tuesday, October 16, 2012
Coat arrived quickly but I was disappointed as it didn't look anywhere as nice as in the picture. The fleece material was quite thin and the cut was shapeless - not at all flattering. However, I was able to exchange the coat easily at my local store for the purple swing coat which although a bit more expensive is much much nicer.
RB on Friday, October 12, 2012
Bit disappointed with this jacket for the price - the fleece has pilled really badly within just a couple of weeks so it definitely looks more casual than smart now. It doesn't seem to be made from very high-quality material. That aside, it is brilliant for wearing in the autumn - and because it is quite a loose fit, there's lots of room to layer up with warm jumpers once it starts getting colder.
Kirsty Miller on Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Very disappointed. Poor quality and design, at a time when I want to be proud of my figure.
Heather Tagg on Wednesday, October 10, 2012
The reviews on this coat were mixed. I am a size 14 bottom/ 16 top normally and am 6 months pregnant and typically 'massive'!!. I ordered the coat in a 14 and it fits really well - will also be able to fit plenty of layers underneath when it gets colder. It is a thin fleece but, because it's fleece, it's lovely and warm anyway - all in all, I am really pleased with it and thought the price was spot on. Looking forward to wearing it without the extra panel this time next year!!
Sarah on Wednesday, October 03, 2012
I ordered this jacket in my normal pr pregnancy size and was too big. I had to get a size 10 and I have never been this in my life!! So ladies, order smaller than normal. Is comfy, but not that thick.
Jeannie Brooker on Tuesday, October 02, 2012
I bought this when I was heavily pregnant as the Autumn weather started to set in and have found it reallly warm and snuggly under a ligher mac if the rain sets in. I plan to use after baby arrives with the baby carrier as the panel allows enough give for that as it does for my ever increasing bump! Enjoy wearing it and it gets a lot of positive comments from my fellow mum-to-be friends who now want one themselves. Would be good to have a choice of colours though please in next design review?
Kate on Tuesday, October 02, 2012
Think of this as a long fleece jacket - not as heavyweight as a wool coat but better than a cardigan. It's really snuggly and has some stretch. I am 6 months' pregnant and can just about do up the coat without the additional panel.
Sarah on Thursday, September 20, 2012
A great product. Perfect for early autumn wear to keep off the chill. Used right up till the end of my pregnancy in November
Charlotte on Friday, September 14, 2012
Love this jacket! So warm and snug with plenty of room for a growing bump
Rach on Thursday, September 13, 2012
Great idea for a pre and post maternity coat, however I had to return mine as it was far too long. I'm 5'7" and it was to my knees, it looked like a dressing gown! One plus would be it did feel very warm. maybe try a shorter lenght too as its such a great idea.
Shonagh on Friday, September 07, 2012
LOVE this jacket. Struggled to find anything on the high street & so many online sites with maternity coats were really expensive. This is an ingenious design, I will get loads of wear out of it
Claire on Friday, August 31, 2012
Oh dear. I usually like JMB clothes, but this was a disappointment. I tried it on and my husband laughed - I didn't even need to look in a mirror to see why. I'm tall and in my third trimester, yet it was huge on me, shapeless, and felt really unflattering. I'm really sorry to be negative, but I think there is something very wrong with the sizing and the design. I had hoped this fleece would be the answer to my autumnal outdoor wear, but it seems I'll need to keep searching.
Charlotte Houghton on Friday, April 13, 2012
This was my winter staple as baby arrived in mid-Feb and nothing else fitted by then. Needed a cardy/jumper underneath in really cold weather but was great for Autumn
Taylor on Sunday, April 08, 2012
I bought this jacket and returned it due to it being not very roomy in the bump area even with the panel and i was only 4 mnths pregnant. i also thought the fleece was not the best quality and it was very shapeless. My husband thought it looked like a sack on me.

Wonderful fleece jacket for the winter months. I would be a 10/12 normally and bought this in a size 12 I am now 32 weeks pregnant and still haven't added the panel to the coat - it wont be long though before I need it...
Maria on Monday, January 23, 2012
This is a very handy and practical jacket- Very close to my own style before pregnancy and one that I am still wearing now that I have given birth. Unlike another reviewer, I found that it actually sizes very accurately, not big at all- I'd advise buy pre-pregnancy size. Only fault I can find is that the fleece is not as thick as other brands, so will require a thick jumper if worn as an outer layer in winter- Perfect for autumn though.

Lovely coat! Really pleased with it. It was freezing conditions last night as I headed home and yet I was lovely and cosy in this coat, especially with the hood up! Love the fact that it zips from top and bottom so you can open it up a bit at the bottom if you want to stride out a bit.
CB on Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Please can you do this in another colour, other than black!!!
Jo on Monday, January 10, 2011
Disapoointed as the coat, with the panel in, fits me now at only 4 months pregnant so will not fit for very long. I will have to return. Bought in a size 18 and I am only a 16 normally. Fleece seemed good quality though.
Elzbieta on Saturday, November 20, 2010
Lovely, cosy jacket that I will definitely continue wearing after my pregnancy. As the other reviewer said, the panel is such a clever idea. Money well spent! I only wish it were also available as a short jacket that I could use for my power walks outdoors..
Gayle on Tuesday, October 19, 2010
I'm really pleased with this jacket. This is the type of coat I'd wear when I don't have a bump so having the panel which unzips is such a clever idea. I was really loathed to spend alot of money on a coat I'd only get a couple of months wear out of but I feel this is well worth the money as I can continue wearing it. It's also lovely and thick so hopefully will keep me cosy as the weather gets colder.
