  I love these sandals - my son wore a pair all summer last year and they still looked good after months - but I'm very disappointed that I've just had to send back the pair I ordered for this year as the sizing is still big and his feet then fall into the 'sizing gap' others have mentioned. The 5-6 size ordered were far too big (his feet have just been measured for other shoes as a 5 1/2), but his toes are hanging out of the next size down (his 3-4s from last year!) - really could have done with a 4-5 as the size difference between one size and the next is massive.

  These are nice looking sandles and adjusts well to fit comfortably. They do come large for the sizes. I wish the soles could be a little more flexi.

  The shoes are great but the sizes are awful! I ordered my son the 7-8 which were enormous but the 5-6 left him no growing room at all. I don't understand why they don'y make a 6-7? I had the same problem last year as what I really needed was a 4-5 which they don't make. Why the huge jump from one size to the next?

  I would like to update my previous comments because since I made them, the sandals have broken at the toe strap (the velcro has detached from the leather). I'm very unhappy with the quality of the sandals this year-they don't seem to be as sturdy as in previous years. I will not therefore be buying them again, nor would I recommend them.

  The sizings are really on the small side - my son is uk size 7 (very regular size for his age of 2 years and 8 months) but I had to go for age 5-6 sandal. So got there on the second attempt but then received a pair that are not wearable as one of the straps is not sewn on - what a pain. Not had much luck yet - shame as they do look a nice shoe.

  As with the previous reviewer, I too have just ordered these sandals again for my 4 year old (my last year though as he is now in the largest ones available!). They are incredibly hard wearing-my son really puts them through their paces-on the beach, in and out of the sea, walking... I have kept all the old pairs for my youngest (18m). They're a great colour and well made-I'd absolutely recommend them.

  This year is the third one running that I will be buying these sandals for my two boys - they are comfortable, good looking and hard wearing. I highly recommend them!
