I have bought several of these bras and they are absolutely brilliant. Easy clips for nursing, pretty and very supportive for the larger breasts.
  • review score 5 C on 02 February 2016
Very pleased. Soft, comfy and supportive bra. I'm going to but another one!
  • review score 5 Ally on 22 December 2015
This bra is great for nursing. Offers a lot of support compared to some other bras out there. The lace detail is pretty and makes it a bit more special than the usual bog standard ugly nursing bras out there. The clips are sturdy and easy to fasten with one hand.

I really like the customer service at JMB stores. I was fitted for a nursing bra. I was able to buy one of the Emma-Jane Lace Trim Maternity & Nursing Bra in the store, but unable get a second one in my size. The employee was really nice and ordered me a second one in the color I wanted from the online store for me and had it mailed to my house. The shipping was extremely fast. Super pleased with the service and I really like the Emma-Jane Lace Trim Maternity/Nursing Bras.

Excellent bra. Best bra's I bought for both pregnancy and breast feeding. Good design and soft side support when cup 'removed' meaning no compression of breast tissue.
  • review score 5 rwalker on 15 October 2015
Lovely and soft but gives good shape as well. I found it gave me much better shape than the under wired nursing bra.
  • review score 5 Karen on 01 September 2015
Very pretty, fits well, sizing guide accurate, am going to purchase another!
  • review score 3 Williams on 27 August 2015
Unfortunate the 32 doesn't cover the whole range of cup sizes.
  • review score 5 XB on 16 June 2015
Good product but came up small against "normal" sizes - worth double checking the JJMB sizes or getting measured in store. That said the store had no quibbles about me returning them. No experience of actually wearing them as went for a different better fitting brand.
  • review score 5 Lena on 15 May 2015
Very comfortable and soft bra. Feels on the big size, have plenty of rom for growing. Can recommend it.
  • review score 5 Jaime on 03 July 2014
Lovely bra, very stylish at the same time as being functional as a nursing bra. Really nice to wear
  • review score 4 Simone on 02 July 2014
Very comfortable bra. Easy to unhook for breastfeeding. Quite expensive though.
  • review score 5 Clare on 22 May 2014
Really lovely maternity bra. A lot more feminine than most others on the market, and a reasonable price. Nice and comfortable too. Washes really well.
  • review score 5 Alex Fricke on 07 May 2014
Fantastic nursing bra - I had the black one when I had my first baby and ordered the white one as soon as I had my second. Very supportive, comfortable and easy to open/close.

Comfortable bra. Nice lace trim. Perfect for pregnancy and feeding.

I don't often find bras comfortable, especially in pregnancy, even though I'm an average 34D, but this one is very good indeed. I have three now: they wash very well, stay in place and hold well, and yet don't have the underwire, don't rub and are a little more feminine than the usual plain maternity bra thanks to the pretty lace (which is also cotton, so it doesn't irritate the skin).
  • review score 0 helen on 06 November 2013
Love this have it in both colours feels a bit pretty but very supportive and washes well.
  • review score 0 Kalla on 17 October 2013
I usually prefer smoothy, t-shirt bras but have been won over by this style - great fit with soft cotton cups- would definitely recommend.
  • review score 0 amimamim on 14 October 2013
I was pleased to find a cotton maternity/nursing bra in a simple style. This is a practical design and comfortable - no complaints!
  • review score 0 Jessica on 30 May 2013
Great nursing bra. It's hard to find something that looks nice and fits well when you have larger boobs, and this bra is both supportive and looks really nice.
  • review score 0 Jude on 19 April 2013
I absolutely love this bra! It's my second one, as soon as I tried on the first one I ordered another. It fits brilliantly, gives great support and shape and it's pretty too! I had bought other nursing bras which were a really bad fit and didn't have much hope of finding something practical and comfy but I was so pleased with this bra.

Love this bra. Fits well and is very comfy. would recomend.
  • review score 0 Adele on 14 January 2013
I bought one of these for my first child and found it to be really comfortable. This time I used the old one before my baby was born and bought 2 more for afterwards. They are supportive, practical, comfortable and pretty. 10/10!
  • review score 0 SJG on 18 October 2012
A comfortable flattering soft cotton bra. I have ordered this in black and white as I find it equally comfortable to wear at night where I still want the support.
  • review score 0 Natalie on 28 September 2012
Cups are far too big for 38B, not comfy at all.
  • review score 0 Jpierce on 24 September 2012
Comfortable bra with good support. Washes well. Have both a black & a white version. Straps easily open to enable feeding.Would recommend

I went into my local JoJo shop and was fitted initially to make sure I was going to buy the right size - tried on several styles and found these to give the best support and comfort (plus the little bit of lace edging makes the bra feel less frumpy!) The straps are nice and wide and easily adjustable and cups can be dropped and refastened with one hand which makes feeding a whole lot easier. Definitely recommend these Emma-Jane nursing bras :)

Fantastic bra! Comfortable and supportive! Used them last time I breastfed and back again this time. Ideal!
  • review score 0 Gitta Zarum on 12 July 2012
These were for my daughter who lives abroad. She is delighted. Also, although the website indicated that one of the bras I ordered would not be available for 4 weeks, I was pleasantly surprised when both arrived within a few days, in time for us take them abroad with us!
  • review score 0 Jo on 02 June 2012
A very-supportive and comfortable bra - I have worn these through the latter half of my pregnancy and during breast-feeding. I recommend being properly fitted in a JoJo stoe if you can.
  • review score 0 Kay on 23 May 2012
I bought these for my daughter who is pregnant, as she had them when feeding her last baby. Baby is now 22months and the bras are just starting to show signs of wear. She says they are pretty, comfortable, practical and excellent value.
  • review score 0 JoeyJones on 23 April 2012
I purchased this bra following the birth of my baby.
  • review score 0 Tanya on 18 January 2012
Very disappointed. The trim on this bra is synthetic and goes right in the middle of the cup. Very unkind to your nipples which would be very sensitive from breastfeeding. Can't wear it myself and would not recommend to anyone.

I'm approaching the birth of my third child and once again I am about to buy this same Emma Jane nursing bra. At the point in each pregnancy where normal bras become unwearable I have gone to the shops with high hopes of finding something sexier, prettier, well-fitting, but I have been disappointed each time, ending up turning to this Emma Jane bra in white and black again. No, it isn't sexy (despite the lace!) and the straps are mega chunky, but it is comfy, a good fit in pregnancy and afterwards and easy to use when feeding your baby. So, here I go again. (And yes, I have bought new maternity bras each time as they get such heavy wear that they are a sad sight by the end of the 6 months breast-feeding, even well made ones like an Emma Jane.)

Maternity and nursing bra sizing

Guidance in choosing your nursing bra size

If you find that your measurements don't correspond to the sizes listed below we recommend that you visit one of Our Stores for professional fitting. We carry a wider range of sizes in store and can advise you on the best style for you.

Once the milk comes in, the cup size will increase by at least one size, so nursing bras purchased before the birth should allow for this.

The rib cage size should reduce back to its pre-pregnant size within a few weeks of the birth
- which is why nursing bras have so many back size adjustors. When trying a bra before the birth, ensure that the back is on one of the loosest fittings, to allow you to tighten it as rib cage retracts after the birth.

The nursing bras that fit before and after the birth will possibly not fit a couple of months
later once a breastfeeding pattern has been established. You may need to purchase smaller bras at this stage.

What will I need for pregnancy & breastfeeding?
As a minimum we suggest:

  • 2 maternity bras and 2 nursing bras
  • Or 4 nursing bras (which can be worn during the later stages of pregnancy)
  • 2 sleep bras (unless the style chosen for the above is also suitable for sleep)
  • 2 packs of nursing inserts
  • 1 pregnancy support pillow
  • Mattress protection sheet

In preparation for breastfeeding we also recommend that you have a supply of nipple cream. Camillosan is perfect and available from all chemists.

How to measure yourself for a UK bra size:
Simply measure under and across your bust and use our chart below.
