Brilliant. Easy to use. Stayed up at night & stuck to wall during day (after re-rub with cloth). Might be better if had gridlines to ensure straight cutting though.

Not a good product. They do not stay put. Not happy with them as they make the room so hot on sunny days and you cannot open the window as they would blow off. You have to use more than. One piece on most Windows and it is too time consuming to take them on and off. Would not recommend this product.
Yvonne Williams on 01 June 2016
Totally dissatisfied with this product. Unless your windows are the perfect size you have to join them and light comes through and it is difficult to get them sized up correctly. You cannot open the windows because they just fall off. They do not stay in place. They make the room so hot when the sun is on the window it is like a sauna, especially as you cannot open the windows. Wish I had gone for one of the cheaper products on the market. Went for the most expensive, big mistake.
Emily on 22 December 2015
I love these blinds! They actually are magic and have transformed day time naps for us. So easy to use and really block out the light. Would highly recommend.
Alison Hayward on 11 October 2015
Warning - dangerous product. I used these blackout blinds once for a single night and when I removed the blinds the following morning I found that the inner pane of the double glazed window had completely cracked. As my 4-month-old baby daughter's cot is directly below the window I was lucky the glass from the cracked window didn't fall on top of her. A quick internet search (which I wish I had done before buying this product) revealed that this has happened to many other people. There are even reviews on the Jojo Maman Bebe website stating that these blinds have cracked their windows. I am surprised that customer services have brushed off this serious (and potentially dangerous) product flaw by saying "this is a bit of a marmite product". Even if it only cracks windows in a minority of cases, this is an unacceptable risk when it is being sold for use in babies' nurseries. I expect better from a well respected company and I will be writing directly to customer services to express my disappointment.
Christina Slater - JoJo Customer Services on 08 May 2015
This is a bit of a marmite product. For some people it works perfectly and they love it, for others it doesn't work at all. Unfortunately there are no rules or guidance about how and where it doesn't work so we can't assist to narrow down the risk. The manufacturers aren't able to pin down anything specific for us. If you are wanting permanent black out options we recommend getting a properly fitted blackout roller blind or similar. However for travelling, staying with grandparents and holidays this can prove invaluable for a temporary solution if your child wakes with the light. From our own unscientific tests in our own homes we have found that the static cling can stay reusable from anywhere from 3 to 15 times (we stopped at 15) and stays up well for the 3 days we left it up - so perhaps different windows, room temperatures and frames all add to the variations in results. We sell a large volume of the item, many more than the negative reviews we see here or the complaints we deal with so we do feel it is a practical and useful product for many people and hence continue to offer it. It obviously is however incredibly frustrating for people for whom it doesn't work. If you are having problems with it please contact us and we will see what we can do to help you. Thank you
Sally on 27 April 2015
These block out all daylight amazingly well - BUT you have to go on a bit of a scissors and cellotape mission and not bother taking them down in the day.
Catherine on 19 April 2015
Terrible! Fall down all the time and the one time they did stay up they got so hot they cracked the glass in my window. An expensive lesson.
Kate on 19 December 2014
As it says on the tin, magic!
Laura on 27 August 2014
Terrible. Awful product, awful expense. Bought to use on holiday - very thankful the glass didn't crack... note to self: read reviews next time!
Claire on 18 July 2014
They're quite thin, so getting them to the edge of the window with no crinkles (which let the light in) took a few attempts, though this would probably be better if you cut them to size, which we didn't. But once they were up they did the job perfectly, and are light and reusable so great for travel. Definitely recommended.
GG on 28 April 2014
Not great. And eye wateringly expensive for what you get - you could tape up black bine bags for pennies compared to this, pretty average product. No use for muti-paned windows, so be careful taking this black out roll on holiday when you don't know the type of window is there. Lost it's cling pretty quickly. They certainly block out the light, if they stay up long enough, but that's about it. Useless without a roll of tape or blu-tack.
Esther on 02 March 2014
These blinds are great, we took them on holiday. Not perfect and not a perminent solution but they made a huge difference to nap time when on the move or visiting.
P on 01 March 2014
These sheets stayed put the first time they were up, but on subsequent uses would not stay up at all. I tried every thing to increase the static as suggested and even cleaned the windows, but no joy, definitely not magic! Shockingly expensive too.
Susanne on 02 November 2013
I like this product. I balked at having to pay that much, but it worked on our north facing two-paned bedroom window (left it up all summer) and for one night at my brother's house (with window open). It's not really a long term solution, since leaving it up means the room is dark all the time, and taking it down and putting it up is a complete faff, but if, like me, you are at your wit's end and need to try something other than "blackout" blinds, gove this a go.
KForman on 25 August 2013
Absolutely useless! They would not adhere even for a minute. We ended up taking them back despite having opened the packet as they were just not fit for purpose.
Laura Guillaume on 26 July 2013
These blackout blinds are effective at being supremely irritating, and nothing else!! They are almost impossible to adhere to the window and are also difficult to adapt for differently sized windows. We were reduced to using blu-tack to keep them in place, and were still driven up the wall by the loud rustling which was more disturbing to the child's sleep than the light would have been! Binbags would be equally effective. Magic this is not.
Susanne on 10 July 2013
I was sceptical about this product, especially at this price, but the recent sunny weather drove me to this last resort. The prodcut is great and does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not the most attractive way to block out light, and makes it difficult to vary levels of light in the room. However, the film sticks easily and smoothly to the glass, the ragged edges I cut (hastily!) stay down and it crosses over the centre of our window easily. It is more effective than the blackout blind we have up, simply because it covers the entire window area with only tiny lines of light showing through. True when the window is open there are bigger gaps, but it's still better than the blind and I'm glad I took the plunge. There's plenty of material on the roll to cover out bedroom, the nursery and the spare room at my mum's.
jwest on 04 July 2013
Very expensive and only stayed up the first time. Had to use tape the next night and light still comes in very disappointed with the product and regret buying it - in my opinion total waste of money
Jacky on 04 July 2013
These are fantastic very easy to use and does the job! Brought them for my sons window as black out curtains didn't seem to work, but these do.
Siobhan on 03 July 2013
The advertising for this product makes it seem that they can be used day and night, however the small print on the box intends it only to be used from early evening until morning and not in direct sunlight! Our nursery is west facing so we end up trying to put the sheets up in bright sunlight when our daughter is about to go to bed and the black sheets can get very hot.they are difficult to put up at times and need cutting to fit but do block out most of the light. Should be better warnings considering other customers have reported windows have cracked.
Kate Norris on 26 June 2013
This product works really well to keep the light out. The static if fine for plain glass windows but for windows with muti-frames in the glass you may need a bit of tape to hold it in place.
Abby on 19 June 2013
Not very impressed for the price! They did 'stick' at first but not for very long, and it was awkward getting them to size. I had to use two sheets for 1 window, e.g. one and another half. Then there was still light around the edge. Think the others on the market are better. It may be good for a short term thing e.g in a caravan but not for a nursery in my opinion.
D.Sloggie on 19 June 2013
Having seen this product on the internet I thought it was the ideal solution to my problem. What a mistake to make. This product works as it states but the life of a sheet is abismal. You can use it a maximum of 6 times before it falls off the window and try as I might, following all instructions, I cannot get it to re-charge with static no matter what man made cloth is used. In all a waste of money. The only good factor is that I can now use the useless sheets with blu-tak as and when required.
Anna on 11 June 2013
We bought this and left on our daughter's window for less than 24 hours including one cold but sunny morning. The glass cracked and had to be reglazed. Also we found you had to use a lot of sheets and cut additional strips to fit to correct window size to make truly 'blckout'. All in all not a good purchase from our experience.
Liz on 07 June 2013
Most expensive bin bags ever! Don't stay on the windows for long!
Fibria on 06 June 2013
This is an excellent product and does help my daughter to sleep better, especially in the evening when there is still a day light. It is so easy to use. We are in to two weeks and using the same sheets.
rebecca on 12 April 2013
These blackout blinds are great! Some of the other reviews are very negative but we have used these with both our son and daughter and found them easy to use and very effective! If you wet the blinds slighty when putting them up they stick all night and we have been able to reuse the same sheets for a long time. Great buy, about to order more!
Jo Potter on 01 August 2012
I would not recommend these black out blinds. I used them and because it's summer and the sun is strong the double glazed window got so hot it cracked the inner sheet of glass. The other ones that use suckers might be better? Very unhappy to have to pay £105 for a new pane of glass!
Nadyne on 01 July 2012
To be honest we found these blackout blinds very difficult to fit and we only got a couple of uses per sheet so for us it was a waste of money. It may work well for some people but you can't beat proper blackout lined blinds and curtains.
Sally on 27 June 2012
After reading the reviews I was very unsure whether to purchase or not, but in the end my frustration at my son waking so early (and desperate hope that something might work!), won through. We have found that for us, these do work. Wetting the window a bit (with wet hands before putting up) has meant that the same piece we cut about 2 months ago is still working. We take it down and put it up each day. They are a bit of a faff, but I'm not sure there's a better solution for an odd shaped window. Hope this helps you decide!
Heidi on 22 June 2012
Not a permanent solution but works well for occassional use for holidays, visiting family etc
Julie on 14 June 2012
Stops working after a few uses so super expensive. We have taped them to the windows in the end and they do work but it means the room is now always in darkness which is not much fun during the day!
anon on 07 June 2012
Looking through the JoJo catelogue (my son and his wife are expecting) I saw this and thought "wow" exactly what I need. Delivered promptly but it was a bit tricky to cut to size (ensuring a blackout), and as the room has the rising sun ( when it shines ;), it is better than nothing but would have liked TOTAL blackout.
Nerys on 06 June 2012
I wish I had read the reviews first. This was a waste of money as the sheets do not stick to our windows. Very disappointed.
Luisa Paches-Samblas on 06 June 2012
I am afraid that it is not worth the money since it does not last more than 5 days up on the window. It soon starts falling and it is not really re-usable. I am quite disappointed with this magic black out blind.
Mags Rogerson on 28 May 2012
Best purchase ever. This roll of material is effective on even the brightest Summer morning. We actually managed to block out all chinks of light. We have cut another piece of the material to take on holiday...... it was top of the packing list. If your child is wakening at dawn then this simple piece of fabric could well be life changing. Highly recommended. I am a very satisfied and well rested customer!
Fran on 18 May 2012
These fall of the window every night. Worst £36 I've spent in a long time!
Samantha on 01 May 2012
We purchased these as we moved house and had a wait before the new blinds and curtains arrive.
Shirley Norton on 17 January 2012
Expensive mistake to buy this product. Product information on web site does not tell you which windows it is not suitable to use on.( I had bought it to use on small velux windows for when my grandsons come to stay) I rang customer service to say that I had only found they would not work after having ago to apply to window and then finding in the very small print onthe box this product was not at all suitable. The person from your customer service just said I couldn't return the product as I had used some of the sheets. Furthermore she didn't even ask my name.
JoJo Maman Bébé on 10 October 2011
We are very sorry to hear of the problems you have had with the Magic Blackout Blinds. These are one of our most popular items and although not every product is suitable for everyone we have very little negative feedback about this item. Customer services will be in touch with you about this.
Mrs Helen Bradshaw on 09 October 2011
Do not buy this product. The sheets don't stick to the windows, the perforations are poor and some of the sheets are so thin they let light through. Complete waste of money.
Caz on 24 August 2011
I have found this so useful. I have curtains and a blackout roller blind but chinks of light still crept through at the side. The blackout blind from JoJo actually dealt with this problem and made the difference of our little one waking at 7am instead of 5.30am!
Kate M on 04 August 2011
I disagree. We used and re-used this product several times. Admittedly some of the sheets weren't as sticky after a few uses and a bit pricey but overall a great product to take on holiday.
karen mclaughlin on 30 July 2011
This product is a complete waste of money. The (very few) sheets only stick to the window once. Save yourself money and use a blck bin bag abd some blue tac which I had to use on this product to get it to stay on the window. Rubbish!
