I was suffering from upper back pain from 34 weeks onwards. I bought this belt and it has definitely helped, despite not being specifically targeted for upper back pain. Essentially it helps by providing very good support, thus not allowing your bump to drag you and your back muscles down! I am a size 10 - 12 pre-pregnancy and a 12 in maternity - the medium was a perfect fit. I have deducted 1 star due to the fact that I think the belt could be made in a softer fabric on the inside to sit on exposed skin; I had moments of discomfort due to this vs tightness of belt.

It's a good belt, helps me loads with the pains in the lower belly when walking (currently at 30 weeks). I hoped it would be more helpful for the back pain- it does ease the pain a bit but not to the extent I wish- but then with slipped disks can't expect a miracle!

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have continued my fitness regime which includes body pump classes, pilates and now aqua aerobics. I had starting feeling like I needed some additional support for 'bump' with body pump so after doing some research this one looked as if it would fit the job perfectly. I'd started with a little niggle of groin pain and the feeling of pressure and weight from the growing bump, my Osteopath also liked the design of the support and recommended i wear it when exercising. It offers fantastic support and I simply pop it on over the top of my gym wear in classes. It also comes in handy for dog walks and any time wear i'm going to be walking and on my feet for some time. I feel instant relief from just having that bit of support there. I agree with other ladies that it's not one for sitting down in, it's not overly comfortable but in fairness you shouldn't need it sitting down. I've been mindful though not to wear it excessively as i want to keep my tummy muscles strong and not rely on the support, it's been brilliant for those times when you just need that little extra.

Its brilliant product. Just one tip: put your belt on while lying on your back and you will get much better support.

Very comfortable! Easy to put on and stays in place throughout the day.

Recieved the belt after 3 days and what a relief! I use the belt when I'm out for walks to help support my back and lift up the belly. Easy to use and you can fit it under your clothes without showing that it's worn. Would definitely recommend this belt.

Belt is very good quality and machine washable! I found the small very small and therefore I went into the shop and swapped it for the next size up without any fuss! The staff in store were very helpful! Will return to jojomaman Bebe for other maternity items!

When I started to have problems of walking with a big bump (you know, you feel like it is outbursting and you cannot breathe) my mum was forcing me to buy a support belt. I have ordered two, one from a different company, also with great reviews. Jojo belt was so much better. It is thin, it does not rub where it is not supposed to rub and you feel an ease. Do not use it all the time so your muscles do not get weak :) But for walks here and there it does a good job. I managed to wear it even on bare skin (you know, it is summer!) and i did not have any skin problems

Very comfortable to wear, good price and discreet to wear. I should have had one last pregnancy.
  • review score 5 Wendy on 31 May 2016
I started wearing this belt at 25 weeks pregnant. It definitely provides support. I don't wear it all the time, but when going for walks, it certainly helps. Soon I will try jogging a go, as I stopped running a few weeks before as I felt the bump was unsupported. Easy to adjust, and fit into a handbag or suit case.
  • review score 5 H revell on 25 May 2016
This definitely makes a difference & helps to ease my back pain as it's quite substantial. As other people have said it's not really comfortable when sitting down but in my case I only need it when I'm standing or walking anyway. It seems to also help my posture. I'd definitely suggest it to other ladies suffering from lower back pain during pregnancy.
Only downside is that it's quite bulky under clothes but you wouldn't get the right support from something which is lighter weight.

Good product, gives my wife plenty of support for her lower back pain. Although when sitting down she says it tends to dig in and hurts so has to remove and refit once standing again. Apart from that good product

The support belt is great, it has really helped my back pain and sorness when walking. I had read other reviews that mentioned the belt came up a little small and I agree with this. Definitely worth getting this if you are having back problems.

Bought this support belt for back pain from 29 weeks pregnant after one was suggested by a physiotherapist, absolutely great product I found it eased my back pain and sciatic pain straight away.
  • review score 5 Lissy on 11 May 2016
Bought the support belt after my midwife recommended it. I have been diagnosed with SPD and needed something to take the weight of my bump off of the front of my pelvis. This belt gives me a few hours extra pain relief when walking around. I had to take it off when sitting down though as it gets uncomfortable. I was a size 10 pre pregnancy and have gained 3 stone since, at 35 weeks pregnant the medium size fitted me well.
  • review score 5 Anna Fairhurst on 23 April 2016
This product is magical! I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been in increasing pain when walking, especially on Tarmac, because of the weight of my bump. This provides enough support that I can walk pain-free again. Thank you Jojo Maman Bebe!
  • review score 5 Casper on 21 April 2016
When I put this on it was ultimate relief. However I had to very reluctantly send it back and get another size. I am normally a size 8 (max) and I measured myself carefully before ordering so I was disappointed that it was too small. I would have only been able to wear it for a few days. I swapped the S for an M and hope that it is a better fit. I just wish I'd got it earlier.
  • review score 5 Gemma on 17 March 2016
Not the most attractive garment (not that I expected it to be), but works a treat! Thought I was going to hang up my running shoes for a while, but this made me much more comfortable and supported.
  • review score 5 Emma Childs on 17 March 2016
A great bump support! I'm 20 weeks & normally a size 12 and bought the medium. It fits really well with the option to adjust with a growing bump. Would definitely recommend!

Works really well and is helping me and leaving me pain free
  • review score 5 Ellie on 15 March 2016
This belt is great. It really takes the weight off my bump and I can move around and stay on my feet a lot more with it on.

One word of warning: the sizing comes up small. I'm normally a size 8/small 10. I ordered the small but this didn't fit round my bump even at 5.5 months pregnancy and I've been told that I've got a relatively small and neat bump. It didn't even velcro together as it was far too small. So there would have been no way I could have worn it any later into the pregnancy when my bump would have been even bigger.

I exchanged it for a medium and this is perfect for me. It hugs the bump and provides just enough support. I'm carrying low so I've been feeling quite uncomfortable especially when sitting down as my bump touches my thighs. The bump belt helps to lift my bump up just that little bit and I feel more comfortable. My centre of gravity has shifted as my bump has grown and I've almost felt off balance, such is the weight pulling down on my tummy. This belt has helped to alleviate that extra weight.

I'd really recommend this product to other expectant mums having similar problems associated with a growing bump!
  • review score 5 Polina on 15 March 2016
The belt is really nice, great if you need to walk a lot, not that comfortable when you seat a lot, but great for its putpose.
  • review score 5 Abigail Bailey on 14 March 2016
This product has changed my pregnancy! I have gone from uncomfortable, sore and basically in agony, to feeling supported and comfortable. I am able to walk a lot easier due to the strong support on my back and pelvis and my bump feels a lot less heavy now it has the weight supported at the front by the belt.
  • review score 5 Sarah on 03 March 2016
Absolutely fantastic product. I was really suffering when walking too long and this helps so much I can do so much more.
    It's very supportive.
Not very comfortable to sit in but then I don't need it while sitting.
    Worth every penny :-)

I bought the maternity support belt for extra support when going running while in my first and second trimester. It helped a lot with the impact while running and I'm sure the belt will also help in my third trimester when I go for walks and need extra support.
  • review score 5 Eleri on 08 February 2016
Great product feels very supportive. I was a size 12 before getting pregnant however and the medium is a tad too small for me at 27 weeks if you have a big bump and are size 12 or more defo get the large!
  • review score 4 Sarah on 29 January 2016
Bought the belt on midwife's recommendation that a support belt would ease the pelvic pain from twins at 33weeks. Worn on work days and I've certainly been in less pain than previously. The belt is a little uncomfortable when you are sat down for most of the day though.
Usual good delivery from JoJo, I like that you package things in packets that will fit through the door so I don't have to take a day off work just for a delivery!

  • review score 4 Sam on 25 January 2016
Really pleased with belt, offers good support and really like way front section sits under bump as I find more comfortable. Good to have separate velcro tabs to adjust back support. Was size 12/14 pre - pregnancy and medium size is a good fit.

I bought this product due to experiencing pelvic pain with my twin pregnancy. And my cousin who is a physiotherapist recommended I get a support belt. We searched the Internet and came across this and I'm so glad we did it really helps to support my hips and so I experience less pain when walking and doing housework. It has been a great help and I would recommend to everyone.

Perfect for when your bump starts to weigh you down. I am 26 weeks with twins and by mid afternoon I'm really struggling to move about easily. This belt, just gives you that extra support you need.
  • review score 4 Miss A K Lea on 31 December 2015
Ordered a medium as reviews say a small was too small for my size. However a bit big at moment so can't use it yet at 24 weeks. Wore it for one day and was comfortable but couldn't quite get full feel of it as kept rising up over bump. Can't wait to use it, support feels as though will be good on thw right part of my back that needs it. Just need my bump to grow to fit :) have already recommended to other mums to be that I know.
  • review score 5 Lynn on 30 December 2015
Good support. I suffer from sacroiliac joint pain during pregnancy and this helps relieve sone weight of my bump even at 22 weeks. I'm normally a 10/12 and think the medium is a little big at the early stage but not so much that it doesn't give support. There will definitely be room for growth.
  • review score 5 Gemma Wilford on 03 December 2015
I bought this belt when I was 22 weeks on recommendation of a friend. From week 20 I suffered horrendous lower back aches and cramp as well as in my right lower abdomen. Conversations with midwives and a trip to the doctors concluded it was ligament pain and suggested physio. On attending physio I learnt about posture and how the muscles around your back and abdomen need that extra suppport. I bought this belt to assist my posture and it's the best thing I've ever bought for my pregnancy! I wear it all day and it's so comfortable I forget it's there. It pulls me in all the right places and supports my back and abdomen and (touch wood) I've had no twinges since I started wearing it! My only down side is that although it's adjustable it slightly overhangs at the front on the cross over on the Velcro. This is more to do with me being quite small for it. But I just wear a bump band over the belt to smooth it under my clothes. This will inevitably last me through to the end and is a pregnancy must have!

Overall I was happy with this product, it seems to be supportive and has helped with back pain when walking. The only issues are that its not very comfortable for sitting in so you have to keep taking it on and off if changing from walking to sitting a lot. This is a bit of a hassle. Based on other reviews I bought a size large as I'm size 12/14 pre-pregnancy and was 30 weeks pregnant with twins when it first arrived however it's a little on the large size, even when done up tightly. I'd advise others to try before buying.

Great value. This belt has really helped eased late pregnancy pain under my ribs.
  • review score 5 Laura V on 19 October 2015
The belt has definitely helped so far in supporting my (admittedly small) bump and helping to stabilise my lower back. I have 4 horses and an active lifestyle so I wanted something to enable me to carry on doing a lot of tasks whilst feeling supported.
From reading the other reviews I bought size medium ( I'm a size 10) and it doesn't quite go as tight as I'd like at the moment - 23weeks along. But I'm sure I'll appreciate it more as time goes on. Would recommend.

  • review score 5 Lisa Akers on 16 October 2015
An excellent purchase. I felt the support provided by this belt immediately when I put it on. It greatly assists the lower back and has made a big difference by making me feel much more comfortable during the day. I tend to wear it for 30-60 minutes several times during the day.

Having always had a bit of a 'dodgy' lower back, it has become worse during pregnancy and I am also suffering with pelvic girdle pain.

I tried the cheaper bump support bands but found them uncomfortable and not a great help. This belt is brilliant, if I am walking a lot or cleaning, I couldn't cope without it. It can be adjusted to size which makes it a more comfortable fit and can grow with you, offering support but not feeling restricted. Highly recommend.
  • review score 4 Kate on 12 October 2015
Upside - does provide support and relief for your back and stomach muscles

Downside - rubs by the end of the day and you have to spend a bit of time adjusting the velcro

    Overall - worth the investment

    Utterly brilliant!

I was suffering from quite early in this pregnancy from pain in my lower back and pelvis and under my bump. I bought this at 5 months and it has almost completely solved the problem! I wear it every day and really notice if I don't.

I am a small size 10 but definitely need the Medium bump support - the Small wouldn't even do up!
  • review score 4 Gemma Moseley on 10 August 2015
I'm in my first pregnancy & bought this belt at 29wks as I wanted to get something to stop my bump feeling so heavy. It feels very secure & helps take the weight off. I wear it directly on my skin underneath my top/trousers & have found it comfortable enough to wear all day, though I probably wouldn't wear on a hot day as I imagine it might get a bit sweaty. I would say it's best to wear when walking around a lot as that's when you get most benefit.
I'm a size 8/10 pre pregnancy & found size M to fit well, with plenty of space to loosen/ tighten up to the end of my pregnancy.
I've found I haven't ended up wearing the belt as much as when I first bought it, but still feel it's a good purchase as I'll have it ready for any future pregnancies!
  • review score 1 Judi on 27 July 2015
Thought the belt would help my pelvic pain and weight of the bump. Tried it on a not very comfortable when I sat down, the Velcro layers kept folding in half and digging into me. Can't imagine the belt helping if I had it any looser. Sent it back unfortunately.

This belt is great! Really helps with lower back pain. Bought a large as I'm usually a 12/14 but I think it depends how far in you are, as I felt it was too big for a couple of weeks, but loving it now I'm currently 29 weeks.

Bought at 30 weeks pregnant, helping to ease my achey back and hips. I certainly feel more secure when wearing it as it supports my rather large bump. Usually a size 12-14, bought large size, wouldn't want one any smaller

fantastic support, started wearing it around 32 weeks as I walk a lot with my dog. I'm a size 8 pre pregnancy and have a very forward bump so ordered a medium as other people had suggested on their reviews - it's just right! Only downfall is that it makes you feel like you need to pee more often then normal!

glad I went for the medium as it is just perfect I think the small would have not lasted long! I am usually a size 8 hope this helps

My wife and I are expecting our first baby in December. In recent weeks her increasing bump was causing severe pelvic pain- possible PGP. Being the concerned husband and a recent shopper in JoJo Maman Bebe, I decided to see if there was a product in store which might ease her pain. I came across this support belt and it has worked wonders! She only wears it during the day as per instructions and suffice to say, the pain has eased tremendously. Would highly recommend this to anybody in a similar situation.
  • review score 4 Rachel on 02 October 2014
I suffer from round ligament pain and needed extra support for my bump. I have a 15 minute walk to and from the train station every day to get to work and often get stabbing pains on the lower part of my bump. I wear the support belt with my belly band and found that it made my walk to the and from the train station to be much more comfortable. The support belt has definitely helped to alleviate some of the discomfort; however it does not eliminate it completely and find that I still need to slow down or take a break.

The belt is quite bumpy so I cannot wear it underneath my clothing for the entire day. I also find that it uncomfortable to wear when I am sitting down. I usually remove the belt when I arrive at work and it is easy to fold and store in my bag.

Also, the price tag on the packaging says 21, but I actually paid 24 for the belt which is a bit annoying!

Bought this after researching and looking at reviews of many others and it is great. I try not to wear it all the time but if I have a day where im on my feet a lot I will use it and it really stops the backache. My backache was getting really bad at 30 weeks plus. Now at 34 weeks it is much better when I use this. Really comfy to wear to. Thank you

Absolutely brilliant. I wish I had bought this when I was pregnant with my son rather than trying to make do with bump bands. It has eliminated my back pain. I only find it digs in a bit when I put it on too tight or it is hot, but taking it off for a short while relieves this. I am size 12-14 and am nearly 30 weeks gone with a good sized bump and the medium is just right for me.

Ordered size L fits ok (size 14 pre preg). Would possibly fit up to size 18 as straps can be adjusted but some might find it this too tight. Once belt is adjusted gives good support however when you sit down eg driving, it can feel v tight. Edge of belt digs into legs when seated.

I bought this belt to jog in and it seems to offer support although I am only 5 months pregnant at the moment so I think it will be more useful as I get bigger. It does give me the confidence to carry on jogging though. I am a size 8 and bought a small but this just about fit with no room for growth so had to swap for a medium. Sizing needs to be reviewed on this.

Very pleased with the purchase of the Maternity support belt. Having a bad back that has been aggravated due to the pregnancy has been a pain but the support belt gives me relief when i need it. I tend to wear it if i'm on my feet for most of the day or even just standing doing the ironing. Its easy to adjust and sits hidden under clothing.
I order a Medium in size as i read the other reviews that they can come up small. The velcro allows the belt to be adjusted with easy. Would recommend for any pregnant with a achy or bad back.

My belt just arrived and the minute I put it on was such a relief I nearly cried (but then...when am I not crying at the moment!!). I've got SPD and I'm carrying very low and it's been so uncomfortable to just walk around...and sit...and lie down. This belt has immediately helped take the bump weight and with 12 weeks to go, I'm very grateful for that! Only qualm is that it says £21 on the packaging and I paid £24?! But it's worth it.

Best maternity buy ever! I was really struggling with lower back ace, so much so that after midday I was struggling to keep myself upright! After reading the reviews on the JoJo website I decided to order this belt and have not regretted it since. Great fit due to the cut out for the bump and it doesn't slide all over the place! Most of all, since wearing the belt my backace has almost disappeared and I can carry on working and looking after my 3 year old which I didn't think was going to be possible anymore!

This support belt has been a life saver! I am 27 weeks and was finding walking my dog to be hard work and uncomfortable. With the belt, I am unaware I am pregnant and walking is a joy. I fully recommend it. There are lots of ways to adjust it as you grow. I am a size 10/12 and the medium is perfect. Don't hesitate to buy it.

I ordered this in a small according to the sizing guide online for both my usual dress size (8/10)and the size of my bump at the beginning of the 3rd trimester (36 inches) but have found that it only just fits around my hips with no room for expansion. Now my bump is lower (I'm currently 37 weeks) it is becoming uncomfortable to wear if I'm sitting for any period of time. I don't think I'll be able to wear it for much longer as I think it is now aggravating my leg swelling. Perhaps the sizing guide could be reviewed?

That said I have noticed a benefit whilst wearing it in both making my hips feel more stable and in how much pain I feel from SPD. It feels very supportive, stays in position and the shaping would be good if you get the size correct.

Heaven is a bump band that relieves the pressure on the abdomen of twin babies from week 14. This is it. I have grown very large, very fast. It is a bit alarming to be suffering discomfort so early, when you know you have such a long way to go. So, the bump band gives you a mental boost as well as physical relief. I'm going to get a second one to never be without. A must for any multiple pregnancy.

At around 25 weeks pregnant with twins I was getting very bad lower abdominal and back pains with the weight of my babies. My midwife recommended getting a support belt and after looking at my different types I ordered this one. The difference is amazing. When I first put it on I didn't think it would help but I was so wrong. I no longer get the terrible pains and it's very comfy to wear. I miss it so much when it's in the wash!!

I found it really useful especially while I was still at work. We even managed a day round London galleries which I don't think would have been possible without the belt. I initially bought a size S but had to swap to a medium as the small did not allow for any growth although I am a size Small in other Jojo clothes.

Size wise I am 10-12 not pregnant and ordered a medium, whiich is probs a tiny bit too big in the back, but I am a very peculiar shape! It should allow for bump expansion nicely though.

Bought this online to help with severe lower back pain and ongoing PGP. Had to use my best guess as to which size to get as there wasn't much guidance on the site (I'm a size 10 so opted for small). Unfortunately I couldn't even get it done up with my big bump and ended up exchanging it in store for the Emma Jane support belt in the smallest size (10/12) which is plenty big enough, a lot cheaper and is much more comfortable. I would highly recommend it the Emma Jane belt. The online ordering process was simple and my order arrived quickly so no complaints in that respect.

Good quality belt, I am a size 10 pre pregnancy and ordered a small belt. It seems quite small (will be ok now at 4 months, but wouldn't last long) so I have returned to re order a larger size, as the belt has adjustable sides to make smaller if necessary.

Very good quality product although the small was an inch or so too small and then the medium was way too big, so unfortunately for me I was unable to benefit from this product.

From 25 weeks I started getting very bad lower back pain and so looked into the various back supports available. This one looked the best as its got high support at the back but then cuts below the bump so I ordered the medium (I'm a size 14 pre pregnancy) and I've not been disappointed. Its easy to put on and the adjustable velcro straps on each side mean that as the bump has grown I've been able to loosen the belt accordingly. I'm 28 weeks now and after wearing everyday it is starting to look a little worn from where the elastic is stretched but it still fits like a dream and really helps my lower back, would highly recommend.

I have split abdominal muscles and a PSD along with backache and this is brilliant, very comfortable and supportive when I am walking and really helps my back and pelvic pain.

I developed pain in my pelvis at approx 22 weeks pregnant and spoke to my Midwife who referred me for physio. Unfortunately there was a 4 week wait for an appointment so in the mean time I googled and discovered that a maternity support belt could help with the pain. I wasted no time and ordered one from JoJo Maman Bebe as I was recommended this by a friend.
I wore it straight away and although the grinding pain is still there, the belt has most definitely helped. I washed it and it wasn't dry enough for me to wear the following day so I went to work one day without it. Big mistake! If ever there was proof that this belt works then that was the day it was proved to me. I hobbled round all day in pain and came straight home to find my belt had dried. Never have I been so thankful!
It most definitely supports my pelvis. There is no doubt that this belt works and it is worth every penny!
I am hoping that coupled with some physio, that my SPD/PGP will not get any worse.
