My 3 year old took to the concept of Momo the Monkey brilliantly. Unfortunately on the 3rd morning Momo's eyes wouldn't open, leading to much upset, confusion, and undermining the 'ritual'. Having read other reviews (which I wish I'd read before purchasing), it sounds like this is quite common. Such a shame, it looks lovely and is a great idea. Another thing to mention is that the ticking is REALLY loud. We were going to put up with it, but were quite shocked at the volume. I think I'm going to get a Gro-Clock instead, the reviews seem much better.

An amazing fun clock to keep little children in their beds or bedrooms until it's time to get up. Recommend to start using as soon as child moves from cot to bed (approximately 2.5 years old ). It will take a couple of days to teach your child to wait till Momo wakes up before getting up.

I really like this clock and so does my daughter (3 and a half). We've been struggling with early waking and within a few days she is now sleeping in until the time we have set. The clock is cute and easy to set up. My only issue us that the one we had was faulty and his eyes stopped opening after week so i've sent it back and am waiting for the new one.

We bought this for our daughter who is on the autistic spectrum to help teach her to stay in bed, she likes closing the eyes every night and calls him 'oo oo'. We have been using it a couple of weeks and of course sometimes she gets out of bed before he wakes up but she is still getting used to it and the light mornings make it seem later than it is even with a blackout blind.
I think this is a great fun way of teaching your child to stay in bed, especially as it has a traditional clock face and a digital one as well.

I am really pleased with this clock. My children, twins, were up early. Out of bed, playing at 5.30am! As a result v. tired. My husband was very sceptical. First morning, my son lay in bed singing to himself, his sister slept. That is how it has continued since! So pleased, much happier household. We say night night to momo the monkey as we close his eyes! Recommend to anyone with early risers!

As with most child 'training' products, persistence was the key for this (about 2 weeks) but now our nearly 3 year old knows he doesn't come out of his bedroom until monkey wakes up, even if the door is open. We have had the clock approx 6 months. He does know how to open the eyes himself but this is easily fixed by keeping monkey out of his reach. I would recommend this product, durability hasn't been an issue for us.

Momo worked really well until he was knocked onto the floor and broke! I was surprised that he wasn't more durable as he looks quite solid and didn't fall very far onto the carpeted floor.
He was easy to use but the noise of his eyes opening and closing did startle my 2 year old.

Good for first couple of nights but i wouldn't recommend overall for a couple of reasons: first, my 2 year old soon worked out how to press the buttons to reset either the time or the wake up setting, consequently it turned out to be a cause of tension rather than an aid to waking up time. It really needs a 'key lock' function like other models have. Secondly the eyes open suddenly which used to make him jump and every night he'd insist the face was turned the other way so the eyes couldn't 'see' him. Thus defeating the object of the clock. Finally the quality of the product and its durability weren't impressive, during one tantrum the clock got thrown against the wall and the head broke off! Suffice to say we quickly invested in a gro-clock, which I would recommend to anyone!
