  • Great maternity wear investment. Ideal to wear with your own favourite jeans in earlier months or when you just can't fit into them any longer and you have to move into maternity clothes. This can offer extra modesty with under bump styles for a layered look. Button holes and button to fit to non-maternity wear. Wide bandeau to wear over or folded under bump. Our maternity clothes are machine washable at 30 degrees unless otherwise stated.

Great to wear with regular jeans and trouses. I wear it with my work trousers. It helps a lot as I found difficult to get nice and not very expensive maternity work trausers.
    • Sarah on Friday, April 26, 2013
I didn't get one of these in my first pregnancy and regret it. I have already used it lots in my second pregnancy. Great for the early days when trousers can feel a little tight but you are no way near big enough for maternity trousers. I also think it will be useful for after the birth when your inbetween maternity wear and your old jeans.

I can see how this will be handy when I have more of a bump, but it does nothing to prolong the length of time I can wear my non-maternity jeans. Maybe my jeans are just too low cut, but the band doesn't hold them up in any way, and they fall down as soon as I walk - the only benefit is that the band hides that the zip is undone

Useful band which has meant I can wear my pre-pregnancy trousers for a bit longer. However, the buttons are a bit big so don't always fit fittings on trousers. Also, if your top isn't long enough or needs adjusting, people can tell you have your flies undone!

Best buy ever! I'm 17 weeks, expecting twins and maternity trousers are still a bit too big. I'm a size 12-14 normally and the size M is perfect: i can wear my usual trousers and jeans and fold the top away, so there's still loads more room for my bump to grow into!
    • Aimee Webb on Tuesday, April 09, 2013
I am so thrilled with my new band allowing me to fit into my own designer jeans for a few more weeks!! It's also really comfortable and in this cold weather an extra layer to keep me and the little bump warm.
    • Annika on Monday, April 08, 2013
These are great. I am 16 weeks with my second baby so 'popped' quite early - my bump is way too big for my normal clothes but i'm still too small for maternity. These have been a lifesaver as I was so uncomfortable! I am a size 8/10 and bought the smallest size - I use these folded over at the moment as they are still to baggy at the top for my bump, but they work well like that. They feel nice and secure as you can button them on and just look like an extra layer under your top. They look particularly good with jeans, not quite as good with smarter work trousers but still do a great job. I can see I am going to be able to use these well into my pregnancy - a good investment.
    • Elizabeth Richardson on Thursday, April 04, 2013
This has already been so useful- I love the way the button hooks onto the button on your jeans so that the band can't wriggle free. It has allowed me to wear so many more outfits.
    • Chloe on Thursday, April 04, 2013
I went for a small although normally a 10-12 and am finding the band a great help for keeping in my normal jeans. I do find that the band rides up at the back if I'm not careful, or of I'm walking around a lot so maybe a medium would have been better after all. Perhaps it's my shape and I'll grow into it! A great product though and I plan to get another colour than black too.

I bought a maternity bandeau when I was pregnant with my first child, I used it again when pregnant with my second, and have just purchased one for my sister in law. So useful in those first months when you don't want to buy maternity clothes yet your normal clothes are a bit tight. Also great for later on and even after baby has been born. And can be used to hid your belly when breastfeeding
    • Lianne Wilson on Tuesday, April 02, 2013
Little bit big for me at 17 weeks but can see where good be useful so have decided to keep for when I grow into it.
    • Rachel Dowling on Monday, March 25, 2013
I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and not yet at the point where I need maternity trousers. The bump bandeau is great for wearing over my regular trousers while I'm in the in-between stage. I usually wear a size 10 - 12 so ordered the small, it's very generous so maybe a little loose at the moment but I guess I'll grow into it!
    • Caitriona O'Neill on Monday, March 25, 2013
This is great to cover up the open zip on your existing jeans. The buttons are really badly sown on and came off on first wear, so it's useless as anything other than a coverup.
    • Karen Ward on Thursday, January 31, 2013
I love this bump band. Because I can button my jeans to it I feel really secure walking around all day with my jeans 'undone'! They have never felt like they are going to fall down, and the band keeps my lower back nicely covered when I bend down. Buy a size smaller than you need though - I'm usually a UK 12 and the medium was far too big for me, but I exchanged it for a small with no hassle and this fits me fine.
    • Emma Kerr on Tuesday, January 29, 2013
I ordered the large initially as I am size 16 but it was far too big so I sent it back and ordered the medium. The medium is great and although it is still a little big it will grow with me. I LOVE the quality of material and it doesnt have seams. It also washes really well. I will plan on buying another.

Great item for that in between stage where normal clothes are too small and maternity clothes are too big. These are much better than a lot of bump bands out there as they have the button and button holes to attache them to your clothes. They are also nice and sturdy and well made unlike a lot of others I have come accross which are just flimsy.
    • Catherine Gasston on Tuesday, January 15, 2013
I bought two of these, one in black, the other navy. Apart from the navy one being a bit larger than the black (both medium), they're so handy. My pre-pregnancy clothes still fit, minus the waist not doing up, so with the bands I can still wear them. I've also been given some maternity clothes which are a shade too big but the bands make them wearable now. Really useful items, so pleased I bought them...a couple of other colours would be good e.g. Brown.
    • Sally on Wednesday, January 02, 2013
I've found this really useful, almost indespensible, as I'm at that 'in between' stage. I used the other reviews as a size guide and, being a clothes size 10-12, I agree that the small size is a good fit.
    • Julie on Tuesday, January 01, 2013
I ordered two bands in small. Good quality fabric but unfortunately had to return them as too loose at the top, despite being 26 weeks.
    • L on Tuesday, November 06, 2012
I bought my band about a month ago (I am now 18 weeks) and it has been great to make my jeans and work trousers that little bit more comfy, even though I am still not showing too much. the added warmth it provides is also good too. The buttons are useful to keep your trousers up, although i find the band is still a little too big for me (I am normally a size 10-12 but the medium was sold out at the time so bought a small) so I would recommend going a size down to get a good fit.
    • Gabriela on Friday, November 02, 2012
My friends recomandet to me and i need to say is great ! It is little bit big for me as i am a petite girl and in 7 month of pregnancie my belly is still not as big :) but i bet next month will fit me just perfect .the material is soft and easy to wear .buttons help allotb.great product
    • fris on Wednesday, October 17, 2012
Good as an extra layer to disguise that my tops keep riding up but my trousers still kept going south as I haven't got bigger on my hips. Great idea but hasn't been the best for me. Have now bought maternity jeans at 23 weeks (1st pregnancy) and might need old man braces as even these fit on the thighs but not hips.
    • Lisa on Monday, October 15, 2012
It is too big at 14 weeks but will be more useful in due course and its easy to use.
    • London mom on Tuesday, October 02, 2012
At 15 weeks (second pregnancy) I have quite a bump so am struggling to fit into my normal trousers, but not quite ready for maternity clothing yet. I have been using the bump band for about a week now. I have found it a little loose around the top (bump isn't that big yet) so tend to fold it over double, and it does well holding my trousers up. I am sure it will come into its own over the next few weeks.
    • NY on Wednesday, September 26, 2012
Still a little big for my bump at 17 weeks, but it's so easy to use I'm sure it will be very useful. Great item.
    • Melanie on Wednesday, September 26, 2012
I wish I'd known about these sooner! Really useful to use when your maternity trousers don't quite fit and your normal trousers don't fit either! I was a bit sad as the button came off not long after I bought it, so I would be careful when putting on and off again.
    • samantha on Monday, September 24, 2012
Love these bands. Really easy to use, comfortable and you can use them to keep your non-maternity jeans up (although just be wary the bottoms may sag a bit as the back of the bandeau does keep your jeans up). Definitely worth the money though as you don't need to get as many pairs of maternity jeans.
    • Tina Breegan on Wednesday, August 22, 2012
A pregnancy must have!! I haven't come across a maternity band like this where you can actually wear your pre-pregnancy clothes.
    • VW on Wednesday, August 22, 2012
I thought this was perfect. Particularly useful for under the bump clothing which can creep down. This protects your modesty.
    • Helen on Tuesday, August 21, 2012
I love this, a great buy, really comfortable and fits perfectly. Lovely fabric, washes really nicely, great to wear to extend the life of my usual trousers and now it's just really comfortable to wear - I'll get lots of use out of it. Recommended.
    • michelle on Tuesday, August 21, 2012
Great quality although I found the small to be a bit too big... The button holes were much too far apart and my jeans could barely reach them, creating a lumpy look. It works fine as a kind of belt thought I guess!
    • Deb on Sunday, August 05, 2012
Other JoJo items are great as they do a size 8, when many other places don't. It would be lovely to see the bandeau in extra small. Having said that, I'm finding the small size fairly useful (have taken it in a bit) and definitely comfortable. Nice to see it is now available in navy
    • Sarah Bradley on Friday, August 03, 2012
I bought a size small just before I was 6 months pregnant and found it far too big around the upper part of my waist. Have returned as very disappointed that it didn't fit at this stage of my pregnancy when I would have found it very useful. Disappointing.
    • amanda david on Thursday, August 02, 2012
Disappointed! The sizing was too big - i am normally a medium but had to send back for a small. However even the small is too big at the top, so is not tight against the skin, but folds down so you can see it through clothes - despite me being 6.5 months pregnant.
    • Kate on Monday, July 23, 2012
Really great product and very comfortable! Would recommend to any pregnant lady looking to extend the life of her current wardrobe!
    • Amy Hardwick on Monday, June 25, 2012
Such a useful item, elongates the time you can spend in 'normal' trousers. Also much more comfortable than the cheaper lycra style as is made with cotton.
    • Giselle on Wednesday, June 20, 2012
I bought this in a hurry as I was running out of clothes to wear! I'm normally quite a petite size 8 and like my clothes to be tight fitting. Result: from about 12 weeks it was getting uncomfortable if not impossible to wear my normal trousers (and in particular my jeans). The band itself is just a wide piece of fabric, with three button holes in it. Two are quite close together and one a bit further on. The idea is that you put your trousers' own button through one of the holes, and use a nifty double-button to put through the other and your trousers' buttonhole, so you essentially can walk around with your trousers undone! The band is still a bit big for me I think, but will certainly be better fitting when I'm a bit larger. At the moment it works fine, I just scrunch it down a bit under my bump (only problem is my tops are also a tight fitting so there's not a smooth line anymore). All in all a good investment which means I can wear my normal clothes longer than I would be able to otherwise! Only thoughts of improvement would be if it had some kind of adjustable sizing, but this probably makes it too fiddly, or if the label sewn in could be removed or made much smaller as it affects the scrunchiness of the band (and is scratchy to boot)

I love it,with this i can still wear my non maternity clothes and you save so much money.i would def recommend it.
    • Michelle on Sunday, May 13, 2012
Excellent product, easy to wear with any trousers or jeans, the buttons are great for securing the jeans in place.
    • Georgie on Thursday, May 10, 2012
This is a really useful item. At 24 weeks I have been at that 'in between' stage where my usual clothes don't fit comfortably. The buttons on the band hook onto my trousers and have offered far more comfort and support. I wear it every day and am just about to place an order for a second one to use on days that it's in the wash.
    • Gillian Thomson on Monday, May 07, 2012
I'm a size 12/14 normally and ordered the medium. It's still a little large for my bump (I'm 18 weeks) but will be great in a few weeks. I love the button that means I can attach to my non maternity jeans and turn them into maternity ones!!
