This is alright. The fit is quite big. I'm an 8/10 and a small is too big. It is also very thick so if you want to fold it over, you have a very large bulge under your shirt. If you wear it fully pulled up, it doesn't fit flush to your skin. I have since bought much better ones for half the price elsewhere - they don't have the button system but they hold my pre-pregnancy jeans up even better than this one and they are snugger and less bulky. I wouldn't recommend this one.

So glad I bought one of these, I was worried as some of the reviews online dont do the band justice.
I'm 15 weeks with 1st baby and i can still fit in pre-pregnancy skinny jeans (27/28 inch waist, bought a small bump band just can't button them and the bump band means i can attach the button on the band to my jeans and still wear them! A godsend!! Don't worry about the bad reviews the button comes off so you can move it suit the jeans you're wearing. Will definitely be buying another band in a different colour

Very comfy and warm. Has allowed me to keep wearing my own trousers for longer.
  • review score 4 Jane on Sunday, December 28, 2014
I thought I should write a follow up to my review in November as I have been using the band more, and figured out there are two sizes of adjustment you can use which makes it more useful. I still find myself pulling up the back of my trousers a bit, but have used it quite a lot with my usual jeans and other trousers and it has definitely meant I can wear them for longer, plus it is comfortable.
  • review score 5 Ceilidh on Sunday, December 21, 2014
Great product, bought when I was around 15 weeks has helped me to continue wearing my own trousers and more importantly my skinny jeans. Band very comfortable over bump and keeps me and bump cosy. Ordered small and I'm at 12 so agree may come up a bit big.
  • review score 5 Hannah Marshall on Thursday, November 20, 2014
Really comfy and practical, especially for Winter bumps! A lot more substantial than any of the ones I've found elsewhere. I'm a size 10 waist and the small size fits perfectly and accommodates a growing bump well. Worth buying two in different colours at the same time for the £5 discount.
  • review score 3 Jenny Mason on Wednesday, November 19, 2014
I bought a small as I'm a UK 10 and fit is ok, will some room for growth. Weird double button thing fell off on first use and I can't work out how to make it work or sew it back on! Works well with jeans button though on the otherside. I agree with others here, I spend alot of time pulling up the back of my jeans as this band doesn't hold them up at all.
  • review score 5 Sam Boyce on Wednesday, November 19, 2014
Comfortable and comforting. This has allowed me to wear pre pregnancy jeans whilst maternity jeans are still too big. I love the secure feeling the bump band gives. Definately recommend it as an essential maternity item.
  • review score 3 Jane on Wednesday, November 12, 2014
The Jury's out - definitely comes up large so I bought a small one and I am probably a 12 at the moment and it's easily big enough - but will grow with me. It seem like a good idea, but there is no adjustment in terms of how far apart the button and hole are - this means that at 1o weeks pg and therefore only a bit big for my trousers, the settings are a bit too far apart and I found my trousers falling down / having a really saggy bottom. It's comfortable, and am hoping is more useful when I get bigger. Also, I would only wear under baggy tops as the silhouette you get is very bumpy and you could probably see that your trousers are open from the bumps (obviously it covers you up, just the bumpiness)

Took a bit of getting used to- but finding these helpful worn over skinny jeans which I can no longer do up at all! Not sure how long they'll last for as bump seemed to be big from week 6- but it's making my normal clothes more comfortable in the mean time.
  • review score 5 Julie on Sunday, October 12, 2014
I bought two of these in size medium (I am normally around size 12, sometimes bigger around the waistline). I am really disappointed as they don't hold my trousers up and I spend the whole time pulling them up. Waste of money. I must be a strange shape. Had similar problems getting trousers to stay up during my first pregnancy and someone told me bands would help. They haven't.

Brilliant product, makes wearing jeans comfortable, the button hole makes this the best version that I have found.

Happy with the product. covers my bump and I like the buttons as will help keep my work trousers up!

Great quality bump band, much more substantial than any of the other similar I have looked at. Unfortunately just far too big, even with a bump I would not have grown into it! I'm usually a 8/10. XS size needed!!
  • review score 5 Cosmina Cross on Thursday, August 21, 2014
This is a great little gadget that can save you lots of money, especially in early pregnancy when you're still reluctant to wear full on pregnancy clothes. You can still wear your favourite trousers until your hips are too wide to fit it. I love it.
  • review score 4 Hannah on Tuesday, August 05, 2014
Excellent! Means I can wear my favourite jeans and trousers for ages! The build in button and button-hole is what others are missing!

An XS option would be useful as the small is still a bit big for me (size 8/10) but I'm sure I'll grow into it!
  • review score 2 gia on Wednesday, July 16, 2014
I was quite excited when I got it but on wearing it for just one day realised it's not really a great investment..it did not hold.my stretchable pre-pregnancy jeans. The button holes were too large. The buttons were threaded in a flimsy way. I wish it had some way of staying with the jeans all the time like some loops for belting with the jeans.
  • review score 5 bt on Friday, July 04, 2014
Really pleased with this. Am a size 12 and after reading the reviews bought a small and it fits perfectly. It is very comfortable and means I can still wear my jeans and trousers.
  • review score 5 Gemma K on Wednesday, July 02, 2014
Great purchase - I bought the small (am usually a size 10-12 in jeans) - good fit, using folded over at the moment as I don't have much of a bump, but means I can continue to wear my usual jeans. Currently at the in between stage where most of my jeans are too tight but maternity clothes are too big!

Wish I'd discovered sooner! Good way to get more use out of normal trousers and better than the hairband trick.

Perfect for the in between stage when maternity clothes are too big. They are big sizes, I'm a size 12 and ordered small and fits perfectly.

Love my new Bandeaus! My first pregnancy and didn't know what to expect in terms of how quickly I would need maternity clothes. This is a great way to get the most out of pre pregnancy trousers and tops. It is comfortable and like that it has the buttons to attach to your trousers. Great product, every pregnant mum to be should get one! The most difficult decision is which colour to buy!
  • review score 0 Sarah on Saturday, April 12, 2014
It is a great idea and works reasonably well - the only issue I've had is that the buttons get really loose really quickly and in fact mine came apart this morning so have had to sew them together again to get them to work. Apart from that, they're great
  • review score 0 Sarah Bray on Monday, April 07, 2014
Perfect for making my work trousers last a bit linger before I switch to maternity trousers.
  • review score 0 Jennifer on Sunday, March 02, 2014
A fantastic product which I bought in early pregnancy when I was finding my pre-pregnancy jeans too tight and felt it was too early to purchase maternity clothes. Buy the size you were before pregnancy as the band is very roomy and has plenty of room for a bump to grow into.
  • review score 0 Helen Fisher on Friday, February 14, 2014
Impressed with quick delivery. Unfortunately too big so had to return for an exchange. Simple easy return and had correct size shortly afterwards. Great site and will use again.

These are an invaluable maternity wardrobe staple. I found them particularly useful in the early stages when your buttons are tight but maternity trousers are too loose. Highly recommended.

I bought a navy bump band this weekend after suddenly feeling my bump pop out, it seems! I wear a lot of tunic dresses and leggings but was finding that some of my t-shirts were riding up, leaving my bump cold and needing a bit of support. I tried on this as well as the more supportive band, and decided that the bump bandeau was all I needed for this stage (I'm 22 weeks). Recommended.
  • review score 0 Wotskii on Friday, November 08, 2013
Normally a size 10-12, ordered small but way too big and doesn't hold jeans up at all. Returned item. Very disappointing.

I love this product it's so versatile and easy to wear and means I can wear my normal clothes for a lot longer. I'm 26 weeks and still able to wear my jeans, skirts and work trousers thanks to the bandeau. Bought a white one and found it so useful that I've bought a black one to go with more clothes.
  • review score 0 Emma Boland on Monday, October 07, 2013
Nice and comfy! Doesn't really hold up the trousers but makes them easy to wear with the top-button undone. A bit loose at the top for now, but will no doubt fill in!
  • review score 0 Emily on Tuesday, September 10, 2013
I bought the large size as a size 18 and find it to be a touch loose at the top but I think because I am early in pregnancy (12 weeks) so my bump will grow into it! Its fab for wearing over jeans ans trousers that you can no longer do the buttons up on
  • review score 0 Rachna on Wednesday, September 04, 2013
Liked the product. The small is a bit big for me (I am size 10 bottom and with a 20 weeks neat bump), so while on some days this band provides support to my stretching tummy, on others it is just sitting around my waist. I like wearing it over my pre-pregnancy jeans as it is no longer comfortable to button them up!
  • review score 0 julieanne on Tuesday, August 20, 2013
Hi product as described. Bit confused by the buttons but that's probably just me. I'm a size 12 and ordered a medium, at 15 weeks its still a bit big but i guess thatll change soon. Took a long time for delivery...nearly a week I think
  • review score 0 Meera Kalra on Thursday, August 08, 2013
The band is a great concept, especially with the button and button hole to secure it to trousers, but the small is very big, I'm not sure I will use be able to use it until the end of my pregnancy!
  • review score 0 Anna on Tuesday, August 06, 2013
I've just purchased these and am so pleased with them. Looking forward to the life of my wardrobe being extended. I highly recommend the advice on here about the sizing. I went for the medium (typically 16 on the high street) and the medium feels generous. Obviously there needs to be plenty of room to grow but at 11 weeks clothes are getting tight and I can't bear the pressure on my tummy, it makes the nausea worse!
  • review score 0 Louise on Wednesday, July 17, 2013
This has been so useful, definitely my best maternity buy. It has enabled me to keep wearing my normal clothes a lot longer and still feel comfortable.
  • review score 0 Angela on Wednesday, July 10, 2013
Great idea, especially with the buttons. Comfortable and plenty of stretch. However, it is VERY generous in the sizing - my high street size is anything from a size 16 up, but I had to exchange the Large (16-18) for a Medium (12-14). Without much of a bump yet, the Large didn't have the snugness to hold up a pair of undone jeans, which the medium does better while still having plenty of space for a growing bump.
  • review score 0 RS on Thursday, July 04, 2013
This has been a great purchase, and let me continue in normal trousers for longer. The special button was missing the first time it was sent but after a bit of faff I was sent another and posted the original back. Worth the money, & the band can be folded over double to make it tighter while you're still not very bumpy.

Excellent band - hadn't read the bit telling you it has button holes, and a button, which is a fantastic idea and makes you feel a lot more secure when desperately trying to stay in pre-pregnancy trousers!!

After reading rave reviews online (and having problems finding maternity jeans that fit properly), I was really excited to receive my JMB bump bandeau. It's a lovely product, however, has a been a tad disappointing.

I'm 24 weeks gone and normally a size 10, I ordered the small size but it still feels too big. It's made of lovely soft cotton, which feels great but by the end of the first day of wearing it felt stretched and out of shape. It also doesn't do an amazing job of holding my jeans in place.

The lovely breathable cotton is technically really nice, but it would be good if it had a bit of stretch in it (lycra mix?) to help keep it in place. Or perhaps if it was slightly hour-glass shaped with a 'top' and 'bottom' rather than just a rectangle, as it's quite loose and 'flappy' at the top, so doesn't sit smoothly under other clothes.

Overall, it's a lovely product and a useful buy for putting under loose tops to extend the longevity of your regular clothes, but wasn't the all-singing, all-dancing solution to ill-fitting maternity jeans that I was hoping for.

NB - this is only my personal feelings re. my own body shape, and sure it works wonders for other women.

Nice product, the small is perhaps a little big for me (I am a petite size 8-10 and 20 weeks at the moment) but it folds over nicely to help keep my pre-pregnancy trousers up!

This is a great addition to your maternity wardrobe to extend the life of your trousers and skirts. I'm usually a size 8 and the small is a bit too big (I'm currently 22 weeks) but it probably won't be for long!

Fantastic! Makes it possible to wear pre-pregnancy trousers much longer am currently 17 weeks with second baby usually size 8/10 ordered a small and is a little big at the moment but can be folded over and feels secure all day in work. Wish I'd bought one during first pregnancy.
  • review score 0 Anna on Wednesday, May 08, 2013
Great to wear with regular jeans and trouses. I wear it with my work trousers. It helps a lot as I found difficult to get nice and not very expensive maternity work trausers.
  • review score 0 Sarah on Friday, April 26, 2013
I didn't get one of these in my first pregnancy and regret it. I have already used it lots in my second pregnancy. Great for the early days when trousers can feel a little tight but you are no way near big enough for maternity trousers. I also think it will be useful for after the birth when your inbetween maternity wear and your old jeans.
  • review score 0 L Fairweather on Tuesday, April 23, 2013
I can see how this will be handy when I have more of a bump, but it does nothing to prolong the length of time I can wear my non-maternity jeans. Maybe my jeans are just too low cut, but the band doesn't hold them up in any way, and they fall down as soon as I walk - the only benefit is that the band hides that the zip is undone
  • review score 0 V Covey on Saturday, April 20, 2013
Useful band which has meant I can wear my pre-pregnancy trousers for a bit longer. However, the buttons are a bit big so don't always fit fittings on trousers. Also, if your top isn't long enough or needs adjusting, people can tell you have your flies undone!
  • review score 0 Amelie on Thursday, April 18, 2013
Best buy ever! I'm 17 weeks, expecting twins and maternity trousers are still a bit too big.
I'm a size 12-14 normally and the size M is perfect: i can wear my usual trousers and jeans and fold the top away, so there's still loads more room for my bump to grow into!
  • review score 0 Aimee Webb on Tuesday, April 09, 2013
I am so thrilled with my new band allowing me to fit into my own designer jeans for a few more weeks!! It's also really comfortable and in this cold weather an extra layer to keep me and the little bump warm.
  • review score 0 Annika on Monday, April 08, 2013
These are great. I am 16 weeks with my second baby so 'popped' quite early - my bump is way too big for my normal clothes but i'm still too small for maternity. These have been a lifesaver as I was so uncomfortable! I am a size 8/10 and bought the smallest size - I use these folded over at the moment as they are still to baggy at the top for my bump, but they work well like that. They feel nice and secure as you can button them on and just look like an extra layer under your top. They look particularly good with jeans, not quite as good with smarter work trousers but still do a great job. I can see I am going to be able to use these well into my pregnancy - a good investment.
  • review score 0 Elizabeth Richardson on Thursday, April 04, 2013
This has already been so useful- I love the way the button hooks onto the button on your jeans so that the band can't wriggle free. It has allowed me to wear so many more outfits.
  • review score 0 Chloe on Thursday, April 04, 2013
I went for a small although normally a 10-12 and am finding the band a great help for keeping in my normal jeans. I do find that the band rides up at the back if I'm not careful, or of I'm walking around a lot so maybe a medium would have been better after all. Perhaps it's my shape and I'll grow into it! A great product though and I plan to get another colour than black too.

I bought a maternity bandeau when I was pregnant with my first child, I used it again when pregnant with my second, and have just purchased one for my sister in law.
So useful in those first months when you don't want to buy maternity clothes yet your normal clothes are a bit tight. Also great for later on and even after baby has been born. And can be used to hid your belly when breastfeeding

I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant and not yet at the point where I need maternity trousers. The bump bandeau is great for wearing over my regular trousers while I'm in the in-between stage. I usually wear a size 10 - 12 so ordered the small, it's very generous so maybe a little loose at the moment but I guess I'll grow into it!
  • review score 0 Caitriona O'Neill on Monday, March 25, 2013
This is great to cover up the open zip on your existing jeans. The buttons are really badly sown on and came off on first wear, so it's useless as anything other than a coverup.
  • review score 0 Karen Ward on Thursday, January 31, 2013
I love this bump band. Because I can button my jeans to it I feel really secure walking around all day with my jeans 'undone'! They have never felt like they are going to fall down, and the band keeps my lower back nicely covered when I bend down. Buy a size smaller than you need though - I'm usually a UK 12 and the medium was far too big for me, but I exchanged it for a small with no hassle and this fits me fine.
  • review score 0 Emma Kerr on Tuesday, January 29, 2013
I ordered the large initially as I am size 16 but it was far too big so I sent it back and ordered the medium. The medium is great and although it is still a little big it will grow with me. I LOVE the quality of material and it doesnt have seams. It also washes really well. I will plan on buying another.
  • review score 0 Abby on Thursday, January 24, 2013
Great item for that in between stage where normal clothes are too small and maternity clothes are too big. These are much better than a lot of bump bands out there as they have the button and button holes to attache them to your clothes. They are also nice and sturdy and well made unlike a lot of others I have come accross which are just flimsy.
  • review score 0 Catherine Gasston on Tuesday, January 15, 2013
I bought two of these, one in black, the other navy. Apart from the navy one being a bit larger than the black (both medium), they're so handy. My pre-pregnancy clothes still fit, minus the waist not doing up, so with the bands I can still wear them. I've also been given some maternity clothes which are a shade too big but the bands make them wearable now. Really useful items, so pleased I bought them...a couple of other colours would be good e.g. Brown.
  • review score 0 Sally on Wednesday, January 02, 2013
I've found this really useful, almost indespensible, as I'm at that 'in between' stage. I used the other reviews as a size guide and, being a clothes size 10-12, I agree that the small size is a good fit.
  • review score 0 Julie on Tuesday, January 01, 2013

I bought my band about a month ago (I am now 18 weeks) and it has been great to make my jeans and work trousers that little bit more comfy, even though I am still not showing too much. the added warmth it provides is also good too. The buttons are useful to keep your trousers up, although i find the band is still a little too big for me (I am normally a size 10-12 but the medium was sold out at the time so bought a small) so I would recommend going a size down to get a good fit.

Good as an extra layer to disguise that my tops keep riding up but my trousers still kept going south as I haven't got bigger on my hips. Great idea but hasn't been the best for me. Have now bought maternity jeans at 23 weeks (1st pregnancy) and might need old man braces as even these fit on the thighs but not hips.

At 15 weeks (second pregnancy) I have quite a bump so am struggling to fit into my normal trousers, but not quite ready for maternity clothing yet. I have been using the bump band for about a week now. I have found it a little loose around the top (bump isn't that big yet) so tend to fold it over double, and it does well holding my trousers up. I am sure it will come into its own over the next few weeks.

I wish I'd known about these sooner! Really useful to use when your maternity trousers don't quite fit and your normal trousers don't fit either! I was a bit sad as the button came off not long after I bought it, so I would be careful when putting on and off again.

Love these bands. Really easy to use, comfortable and you can use them to keep your non-maternity jeans up (although just be wary the bottoms may sag a bit as the back of the bandeau does keep your jeans up). Definitely worth the money though as you don't need to get as many pairs of maternity jeans.

Great quality although I found the small to be a bit too big... The button holes were much too far apart and my jeans could barely reach them, creating a lumpy look. It works fine as a kind of belt thought I guess!

Other JoJo items are great as they do a size 8, when many other places don't. It would be lovely to see the bandeau in extra small. Having said that, I'm finding the small size fairly useful (have taken it in a bit) and definitely comfortable. Nice to see it is now available in navy

I bought a size small just before I was 6 months pregnant and found it far too big around the upper part of my waist. Have returned as very disappointed that it didn't fit at this stage of my pregnancy when I would have found it very useful. Disappointing.
  • review score 0 amanda david on Thursday, August 02, 2012
Disappointed! The sizing was too big - i am normally a medium but had to send back for a small. However even the small is too big at the top, so is not tight against the skin, but folds down so you can see it through clothes - despite me being 6.5 months pregnant.

Such a useful item, elongates the time you can spend in 'normal' trousers. Also much more comfortable than the cheaper lycra style as is made with cotton.
  • review score 0 Giselle on Wednesday, June 20, 2012
I bought this in a hurry as I was running out of clothes to wear! I'm normally quite a petite size 8 and like my clothes to be tight fitting. Result: from about 12 weeks it was getting uncomfortable if not impossible to wear my normal trousers (and in particular my jeans). The band itself is just a wide piece of fabric, with three button holes in it. Two are quite close together and one a bit further on. The idea is that you put your trousers' own button through one of the holes, and use a nifty double-button to put through the other and your trousers' buttonhole, so you essentially can walk around with your trousers undone!
The band is still a bit big for me I think, but will certainly be better fitting when I'm a bit larger. At the moment it works fine, I just scrunch it down a bit under my bump (only problem is my tops are also a tight fitting so there's not a smooth line anymore). All in all a good investment which means I can wear my normal clothes longer than I would be able to otherwise! Only thoughts of improvement would be if it had some kind of adjustable sizing, but this probably makes it too fiddly, or if the label sewn in could be removed or made much smaller as it affects the scrunchiness of the band (and is scratchy to boot)

Excellent product, easy to wear with any trousers or jeans, the buttons are great for securing the jeans in place.

This is a really useful item. At 24 weeks I have been at that 'in between' stage where my usual clothes don't fit comfortably. The buttons on the band hook onto my trousers and have offered far more comfort and support. I wear it every day and am just about to place an order for a second one to use on days that it's in the wash.

I'm a size 12/14 normally and ordered the medium. It's still a little large for my bump (I'm 18 weeks) but will be great in a few weeks. I love the button that means I can attach to my non maternity jeans and turn them into maternity ones!!
