  We apologise, the text on this item has not included explaining about why the zips are reversed. We will get this ammended. All toddler sleeping bags have the zips reversed on purpose. British safety standards for sleeping bags recommend this in order to keep the zip head (the bit with the pull) away from the child's face and neck whilst sleeping. It is also considered an additional deterrent to the child unzipping it and taking the item off - and although it doesn't always work, as the previous reviews have noted, it does help!

  This bag zips up the wrong way! Instead of zipping from bottom to top the way a zip works, it's upside down, you connect the zip together at the top and zip down to fasten it. I had my bag altered for a few pounds though so it's easily remedied. It's still a gorgeous bag though and well worth the price.

  I loved the baby sleeping bags but am not a fan of the toddler sleeping bags. The zip is now from chin to feet - so it is a real struggle to get my toddler to sit still while I zip this up. Its really fiddly too - quite hard to get the zip in place to zip it up. Likewise when I try to undo the sleeping bag in the morning I have to get my toddler to sit down so that I can unzip it from the bottom (and he is so excited in the morning that he wants to stand up to greet me). The baby version was so much easier as it zipped the other way around and was so easy to zip and unzip.

  These toddler sleeping bags are a lovely fit, generous for growth but not too baggy either. Beautifully made and finished to a high standard. Don't believe what they say about the zips being kiddie-proof however, my 22 month old worked out how to undo the zip within a few weeks of using this, and can now get herself out of it completely in just a few minutes. It is still a good idea though, I just put her back in it when she is asleep, and I know the bag will stay in place all night long.
