Absolutely LOVE this coat. I have been hunting high & low for an investment coat for over the winter months pregnant that I can also wear post baby too. This hits the spot. The coat is really warm, and the
removable panel is fab, it gives you plenty of room!
Sizing is great, I'm a size 16 & the coat fits really well over the shoulders & over my hips & thighs!
  • review score 5 Maggie on 07 October 2015
Jacket is nice and roomy, I'm 19 weeks gone now and the size 14 still zips up comfortably without having to use the insert yet so I hope to get all the way through with this coat! I like the gather around the waist as it makes it feel less like a sack compared to coat I had on a previous pregnancy!
  • review score 4 Christine on 02 October 2015
A really nice coat, useful, and will come in handy in combination with a baby carrier. Can also be worn without a bump. Would be perfect if it was shower/waterproof.
  • review score 5 Lauren Talford on 28 September 2015
Perfect coat for autumn/winter. Ordered size 8 as that's my normal dress size and because all reviews have said it's quite big and it fits perfectly at 7 months without the extra panel. Nice and warm and large hood perfect for wet dog walks. Only negative 2 toggles at the bottom of the coat don't really see the point of them they just knock on the back of your legs but fine if you simply tie them together.
  • review score 5 Lucia on 17 September 2015
Really lovely coat, I am size 14 and actual size fits me well. I am 25 weeks now and there is plenty more room to grow into. I am planning to use baby sling and this coat seems to have enough space to allow for that too!
  • review score 5 Clare Hollins on 07 September 2015
This is a great coat, I purchased it in navy, I'm 15 weeks pregnant and will be pregnant throughout the winter, so wanted a good winter coat to wear with my changing shape, the coat is very warm, I like the long length. I have already worn it and it fits well, the extra panel will be good to add in when I get bigger. I am a size 12 pre pregnancy and brought the coat in a size 12 and it fits perfect. However I would usually buy coats in a size 14, went for a size 12 as reviews said it comes up big, so think it's best to buy a size below what you would normally buy a coat in.

Very big, not waterproof so returned. I ordered the green and very dark green - would be nice to have some more interesting colours.

This is a warm and cosy jacket. I am usually a size 14 but had to return as too large. Got a 12 and fits well. I am 5 months pregnant and so far I have not need the extra zip in panel. Good quality.
  • review score 5 Lianne on 16 December 2014
This is a really lovely coat. Fits well, beautiful fabric, very warm and looks nice on.
  • review score 1 Clarissa on 11 December 2014
The most unattractive coat I have ever purchased. Does not give the 'trim waist' effect as seen in the photograph unless you really pull the centre cords tightly and even then it distorts the shape so much it makes you look really frumpy (not pregnant frumpy mind!) and is debatable if it is an improvement. Maybe this is more to do with the fact I wear a size 12 and not a size 8 like the model.

The only reason I have not returned this is because after contracting a cold a few weeks back I know the debate of wearing an attractive jacket or keeping my baby warm is easily answered. It does its job at keeping me warm, give it that much and the elasticated cuffs are a nice addition to help kept the cold air out. Pockets are small and the entrance to them is not very well crafted.

The concept of the removable panel is a good one, but without the panel it does look very bland. The two vertical zip effect present when the panel is attached to the jacket is its only feature.

If again or asked by a friend, I would not recommend this jacket. Not a good indicator of the quality to expect from this store for me now or in the future.
  • review score 5 Alice on 09 December 2014
I bought this when my daughter was already four months as I was getting really cold taking her out in the sling and having to leave my coat unbuttoned. This coat fits round us both, looks great and is warm and comfy. I'm really pleased with it. Plus it works well without the panel in too.

    Good warm coat
  • review score 5 Nina on 25 November 2014
I bought this coat being 30 weeks pregnant. Usually I wear size 12 but this coat seems a bit bigger what provides enough room for growing bump ( I removed detachable middle part). Very warm, very pleased with seamed tapes but wish to have it in brighter colour.
  • review score 5 Tracey Watkinson on 20 November 2014
Lovely quality stylish coat, very toastie warm and lovely fabric, loved the versatility of the removable centre panel for apri-baby, great vaue for money coat with a nice size hood, zips and pull cords good quality, cant fault it and it arrived very quickly
  • review score 5 Tom on 20 November 2014
I brought this coat for my wife as her little bump was beginning to out grow her coats and we are both very happy with it. She said that it is very warm and the extra panel will come in very handy soon. I think it is a brilliant idea as I didn't want to just buy something that is only going to be used for 3 months and then chucked for being too big.
  • review score 5 Lou D on 19 November 2014
Love this coat. Brought a size 12 and it fits perfectly at 6 months pregnant, so good to know that I can add the panel soon for the duration of my pregnancy and for carrying the baby once she is here.
Coat is lovely and warm and cosy, quite padded so excellent for the winter. It has kept me dry on many occasions, although I am not sure how waterproof it actually is but it will be excellent when the baby is here when taking her out in her pram. Well worth the money.
  • review score 5 Kyla on 14 November 2014
My husband bought me this coat after I had my 12 week scan. I have a small bump currently but the coat fits well gathered at the waist with plenty of room to expand before adding the middle panel. It is a beautiful jacket, well made and so soft and snuggly to wear. It has also been tested in the pouring rain today and held up incredibly well. I was warm and dry after a 10-15 minute walk in heavy rain.
Overall I love this jacket and would highly recommend it.
  • review score 4 Amy on 12 November 2014
I love this coat...I am normally a size 10 but 12 in coats to allow for big jumpers. Ordered the medium as the small was out of stock. It fits well without the middle panel at the moment and I am 30 weeks pregnant. So by the time I give birth I will probably be using the middle panel, and I love the fact it may help me use a baby carrier under the coat. The sleeves are nice - the cuffs are cosy. Zips on the pockets would be a great addition. Overall it does feel slightly big but people say it doesn't look it, so perhaps its just my paranoia! I am fairly short too so that doesn't help! Overall I am really pleased with it and look forward to country walks with baby!
  • review score 4 Amy Draper on 07 November 2014
I bought my pre-pregnancy size and found the coat roomy enough to wear over a thick jumper. I haven't tested it in anger yet but it feels like it should be nice and warm.
I think it needs a furry strip around the edge of the collar so I might sew one on myself to make it a proper parka.
    Reasonable price.
  • review score 5 Catherine Byfield on 06 November 2014
Fantastic coat, really warm and can wear comfortably without the extra panel at the moment (20 weeks).
  • review score 5 Mei on 05 November 2014
Great coat - nice and warm and practical. I love the zip-in and zip-out additional panel, and the detachable hood. I expect I'll continue to wear it after the baby is born.
  • review score 5 Sarah Collins on 03 November 2014
I bought this coat a few weeks ago when I was 32 weeks as needed something warm and roomy for walking my dog. This coat is perfect and also suitable to wear into town, dropping my son off at nursery etc. I am a size 10/12 and got the 12 in this and it fitted well. I managed without the extra panel for about a week and feel there is enough room with the panel in the coat to now take me through to 40 weeks. Love the idea of being able to wear it post pregnancy without the panel - a very clever idea and can't believe more coats don't have this feature.
  • review score 5 Nina Gubalska on 01 November 2014
I bought size 12 in navy. Very pleased , just perfect fit and plenty of room for growing baby without looking bulky. Very soft and warm fabric and looking smart. I'm 5ft5 and normally before pregnancy size 10- 12 in jackets . There is not need for ordering bigger sizes. The extra fabric is easily removable and will come handy when I'm bigger . I have 3 months left now. Thank you . Nina
  • review score 3 Stephanie on 31 October 2014
This is a lovely warm, cosy coat and very versatile. I love the drawstring to allow you to show off the bump even when wrapped up warm, and the idea of the removable panel is great. I love the navy colour, the removable hood and the size and position of the pockets.

Unfortunately I had to return it because of sizing. I'm an 8-10 and I originally ordered the 10 because the website said the 8 was discontinued in navy. I think that was a bit misleading as it does now seem to be available so maybe was just out of stock. In any case, the 10 was too big on the arms and felt like it would fit throughout pregnancy without needing the extra panel. I'm quite short - 5'3 - and it's quite long on me so the overall impact of length and size was quite bulky. I could have exchanged and tried the 8 but I felt that I'm between sizes probably and the 8 would be a bit tight on shoulders and arms, especially with winter clothes underneath!

It's a shame, because it's a really lovely coat and if I was a little taller it might have balanced out just fine!
  • review score 5 Eleni on 28 October 2014
Really happy with this coat. It is warm but light, suitable for pregnancy and beyond but also stylish.
  • review score 5 Xyz on 27 October 2014
Great coat overall. I ordered a size 10 (pre pregnacy size) and it fitted really well. Great idea to have the detachable insert, the coat grows with you! Will wear this after pregnancy too. Great buy.
  • review score 5 Carla L on 27 October 2014
This is a very warm coat. Wearing it is like wearing a warm duvet out in the street. At 16w pregnant I still haven't needed the extra panel, but can't wait for the coldest January and February days when this will be necessary. Recommended!
  • review score 2 Laura on 22 October 2014
I bought this coat because I liked the idea of getting a maternity coat that I could also wear after having the baby. I ordered my usual size but unfortunately it was far to big. I could take out the middle panel and zip it up easily at 6 months pregnant! Disappointed I couldn't buy a smaller size that fitted me.
  • review score 5 kelly on 21 October 2014
I'm a 10/12 and 5ft9. I got the 12 and it is perfect and will do me for the reminder of the pregnancy. The navy to me looks slightly smarter than the khaki if that's the look you're after.
  • review score 5 Gemma Marshall on 20 October 2014
    Fantastic, versatile and flattering coat!
Bought my normal pre pregnancy size and fits perfectly. Very cosy and hood big enough to fit over my head with hair up (most hoods seem to call down if my hairs up).
  • review score 5 SB on 16 October 2014
Love this coat. Does exactly what it says. Really warm on cold days made from lovely soft cosy material. Wish I'd had it for my pregnancy too! Have had a little trouble doing the zip up on a couple of occasions and haven't warn it in the rain yet.
  • review score 4 Sarah on 13 October 2014
Great coat, stands up to the "Brizzle drizzle" while nice and warm. I bought the size 14 based on the measurement guide, which indicated a 12 would have been too tight on the hips but I still have room to not need the centre panel at 8 months pregnant. I kept it to have lots of room for extra jumpers through the winter. I would say buy your pre-pregnant size based on the measurement guide and size up if you're boarder line. The measurement guide seems to be based on the coat size without the centre panel in to accommodate the bump.
  • review score 5 Farah on 09 October 2014
I am very pleased with this coat. It was raining hard and cold the other day and I was super warm and dry. Very pleased.
  • review score 5 Lisa Rowley on 08 October 2014
The coat was lovely, unfortunately I found it came up very big and had to return.
  • review score 5 Alex on 07 October 2014
Comfortable and warm. I'm 5 foot 7 and size 14 and the medium size fits me perfectly.
  • review score 2 Tracee on 06 October 2014
Coat was received quickly however I decided to return, it was too bulky for my liking and did not appear to be waterproof.
  • review score 5 Kay Tart on 05 October 2014
I ordered this coat in a size 14 after reading some other reviews online and after discussing sizing with a sales assistant at our local Jojo shop. I was worried I would need a bigger size but am very happy with the fit. The quality is excellent and the coat is warm and comfortable. The drawstring waist is a great addition as there's always the risk of looking like you're wearing a tent when pregnant! Not so with this coat, the extra central panel and drawstring mean I will still have a nice silhouette when my bump is considerably bigger and I'm looking forward to wearing it with my wrap sling. I am 5ft11 and have found that the arms in this coat are even long enough for me thanks to the ribbed cuff. The overall length is also good. My only criticism is that I found the zip a little stiff initially, but this seems to be resolving itself the more I wear the coat. I am delighted with the coat and would thoroughly recommend it.
  • review score 4 RMB on 04 October 2014
Really comfy, warm jacket. The insert panel is a cracking idea. Good price on sale. Would have given 5 stars if the pockets had zips.
  • review score 5 MummyD on 01 October 2014
Pleased so far, but have not had much wear as weather has stayed warm. Like the idea will be able to put over baby in carrier when she arrives, and then eventually remove middle panel. Only part I dislike is the pointless toggles and string hanging from the bottom at the back.
  • review score 5 Cathy Shields on 01 October 2014
I am extremely pleased with this coat, and especially happy that it can be used as a regular coat after my pregnancy. The removable panel is a brilliant idea... I plan to get several years' use out of this!
  • review score 5 Lianne on 23 September 2014
Great coat, will keep me really warm during the winter months. I love the idea of the zip up panel - it means I'll get so much more wear out of this coat as it really will fit all the way through pregnancy.

I needed to change the size of the coat I ordered online and both the online team and the shop colleagues in Bristol were really helpful in helping me to sort this.
  • review score 5 Laura on 17 September 2014
Thrilled to bits with this 2-in-1 coat! It's a brilliant length so there'll be no chilly drafts and I think the extra space provided by the zip-in part is genius. I was a size 8 before becoming pregnant but based on the size guide I chose a size 12, and I'm glad I did because I'll be able to fit cosy jumpers underneath it.
  • review score 5 Una on 16 September 2014
Great coat. so handy to have the panel
great quality and cant wait to wear it as weather not cold enough just yet!
    well done JoJo!

At 30 weeks the coat still has room for
My bump to grow ! Very comfortable and good value for money.
  • review score 5 Hannah on 11 September 2014
Great quality, lovely relaxed style and very generously sized - I bought the size 12 (normally a size 10) but unfortunately it was tent like so I had to send it back. But I will buy it in the size down as the style, cut, design are all lovely, and the zip out middle - which I thought might be a bit gimmicky - is really a stroke of genius. Great value too especially for the quality you receive.
  • review score 5 Charlotte Tree on 11 September 2014
Bought as a present for my daughter it is cosy, stylish and well made,so useful before and after the little one is born perfect.
  • review score 5 Emma on 05 September 2014
Lovely coat - I ordered online and didn't really know what it would be like but very pleased with it. Nice and warm and great quality. Bought the 10 (normally an 8) as some reviews suggested it came up small. I'd say it's prob true to size as the 10 is a bit big but I'll be wearing it with jumpers and will prob have a huge bump by 40 weeks! Very pleased.
  • review score 5 Louise on 04 September 2014
Loved this coat but for me had to size up because the sleeves/shoulders were a bit tight - and I'm not huge in the shoulder department! Next size up is fab though and love the fact I'll be able to wear it after bump arrives. There is so little choice out there for maternity coats it's nice to see jojo have a few options - but would love some brighter colours :-)
  • review score 5 SAMANTHA on 03 September 2014
Coat does come up quite big even when ordering your pre-pregnancy size but cant wait as this is a very clever maternity essential with the extra panel on the zip so should fit me perfectly as my bump grows as only 4mths at present. Thank you
  • review score 5 Jenna Ann Fletcher on 28 August 2014
This is a high quality coat. It's got a genius middle panel to attach via a zip to the coat as your bump grows so you can wear it with a bump comfortably and also after you've had the baby. It's perfect! A great design.
  • review score 5 Joanna Lilly on 24 August 2014
Great coat, will be useful whilst pregnant and afterwards with baby carrier on
  • review score 0 Jennifer on 17 January 2014
This is a great item. At the moment I can wear it without the extra panel but in a couple of weeks I'm sure I'll need it. It is lovely and warm and the hood is a good size (I hate it when a hood covers your eyes or doesn't even cover your head), this one is great. I usually wear a size 8 but ordered a size 10. I'm glad I did otherwise I think I wouldn't have been able to get a jumper underneath. I'm also tall with long arms and this coat surprised me by being long enough in the arm the extra cuffs adding the length I needed. The drawstring is a good addition as I wanted to show off my bump and still have some shape (nobody likes to look like a sack of potatoes) and the cord allows me to do this. It will also allow me to wear it as a normal coat after the baby is born as I can just tighten up the cords. I'm looking forward to using it after the baby arrives when using the carrier. A great item which I couldn't find anywhere else, no one is selling anything similar. I shall be telling all my pregnant friends to buy one too!
  • review score 0 Corinne on 16 January 2014
In general I like this coat a lot but I have a mixed review. I like the colour, it's very soft, warm and cozy. I think it has a nice shape and the extra panel is great. The only two things that aren't great about the jacket is the zipper gets a bit stuck ( I actually had to exchange mine for a new one as it became completely stuck I couldn't wear it). And the draw strings fray at the ends. Otherwise I'm happy with the coat and it's kept me warm over the winter.
  • review score 0 Colin Goodman on 13 January 2014
Bought coat for Wife who is pregnant with twins. 5 Stars! 23 weeks and still fitting over bump! really warm, comfy, she loves it!
  • review score 0 Zubeen Khalid on 07 December 2013
It's a very warm coat and perfect for growing bump. I am normally size 10 but unfortunately I ordered size 12 which turned out too big for me. I had to return it and then I got another one in size 10 which is perfect. My advice is to go for a normal pre-pregnancy size.
The only thing I don't like is the hood as it's too big and almost covers my eyes.
Otherwise , it's a good value for money as I can use it afterwards by removing the middle panel. I also like length of this coat.
  • review score 0 Caroline Skydemore on 24 November 2013
I LOVE this coat - cosy and comfy, ideal for pushing the buggy into town on blustery autumn/winter days, or for strapping on my baby carrier and taking the dogs for a walk. Neither too smart nor too casual - spot on!
  • review score 0 Pauline on 18 November 2013
Lovely warm and smart coat and so practical, will be used for the full pregnancy and the centre column removed fr afterwards, brilliant idea!
  • review score 0 Julie-Ann Needham on 15 November 2013
With the cold weather starting to settle in this is the ideal coat for pregnant women. Not only can you wear it during your pregnancy but its ideal for when the baby has arrived and you dont have to worry about squeezing into a normal coat straight away. I love it!
  • review score 0 Claire on 13 November 2013
Bought this as I was really struggling to find a jacket which would get me through the winter. Ordered online and have been very pleasantly surprised at how thick and warm the jacket is - very important considerations for an Aberdonian winter. I'm in between sizes but went for size 12 given that I'll end up wearing jumpers etc underneath - think the size is probably a bit big as have had to roll up the sleeves. Also would say this jacket more suited to taller ladies - I'm 5'4" and it's definitely a bit on the long side for my frame. Currently at 19 weeks so haven't had to use the extra panel yet - such a fantastic idea though and the feature that drew me to the jacket in the first place.
  • review score 0 Helen on 05 November 2013
Great idea, but fit a little snug on the arms i found, compared to other styles you might have to go uo a size. The big issue i felt was the exterior toggles on the front which made it obvious it was a maternity coat! i was looking for something i could were afterwards as well as during pregnancy. if they were inside, i might have had it! decided to return it though.
  • review score 0 Anna on 31 October 2013
Bought this coat because of it's extra panel making it perfect to grow into. I'm 30 weeks and will probably need the extra panel in the next few weeks. I'm a UK size 11 i.e between sizes and am tall, at 5"9/174cm so the 12 is a bit large on me but suits my frame & shape (hourglass shape) and will work perfectly for winter as is so warm. Very happy with this buy
  • review score 0 Michelle on 25 October 2013
Brilliant coat, well padded and warm, and the removable section makes it a great fit and easily expandable. Also, perfectly sized (size8). Would definitely recommend to get you and your bump through the wonter months.
  • review score 0 Natalie on 18 October 2013
I am truly delighted with this coat. It is thick and warm and is a high quality too. I am 20 weeks pregnant so have removed the panel for now but expect to put it back in soon - it's great to have this option rather than a larger coat for the duration. The coat comes up quite big so if you are between sizes, I would go for the smaller option.
  • review score 0 Fi on 14 October 2013
Lovely coat, great quality and good fit. So far I fit into it without the extra panel, but it won't be long. It works out as really good value for money.
  • review score 0 MummyMe on 14 October 2013
I didn't want to spend much on a maternity coat, but this one can be worn after the baby arrives too, so it's a great investment. I actually think the price is very good. I went for the 14, which is my normal size, although it's quite a snug fit over a cardy etc, but I'm 'blossoming' fast which is my fault! I'm using the middle panel already at 19 weeks (would probably buy a spare panel to accommodate my bump if it was available! :-) ) But, it's warm, comfy and looks stylish. I also chose this as I wanted a hood too. It's perfect for the school runs. Bit disppointed that there is a large hole inside one of the pockets but it's too much hassle (and expense!) to return so I've sown it up. Also, I ordered a 12 to check for size and had to return this one in the post - cost me £9.00! Gulp! And that was second class. This puts me off buying online from JoJo.
  • review score 0 Louise on 01 October 2013
I've not worn this coat yet but it is well made and warm. The fabric feels good quality. I'm a size 12 and this is the size I ordered. I'm pleased to report it fits well. Overall I'm really pleased with the purchase and I'm looking forward to wearing it in the cold winter months!
  • review score 0 Lydia on 27 September 2013
Love this jacket, it makes me look forward to the winter and carrying my baby inside.
Quite thick and warm so not much required to be worn underneath.
A decent amount of money but it's three jackets in one - pregnancy, baby wearing and then afterwards, so a great investment.
  • review score 0 Ellie on 11 September 2013
I love the colour and shape, the hood is lovely and there are various strings for adjusting the fit around your middle, around the bottom of the coat etc. which makes it a good shape. The size 14 was too tight for me across the shoulders so I re-ordered the 16. I am 5'7" and have quite wide shoulders so might not apply for everyone.
