What a charming product. My baby adores it. Although it could take quite some time to go through the instruction manual. Once you know how it works, it will be absolutely great.

For my work, we frequently travel across the globe. Our little son is not used to the constant time differences. During a fair I came across this product. I am glad to say that this product definitely helps my son on trips. Sam became his travel companion and they sleep and wake up together. You can use it with batteries or a adapter which makes it very convenient. Moreover, the design is marvelous, we always get compliments from parents we met during our trips.

It isn't possible to set go sleep time and wake up time. It is only usefull for wake up.
Display contrast is strongly dependent on horizontal angle. Keyboard driver in software is also bad.

Great fantastic product! My Eric loves Sam and when it is time to sleep, he request to put him together with Sam to bed. We taught him that and it apparently works (with the help of Sam of course).

Bought to help my three year old stay in bed a little longer! First night he moved it into the kitchen at 3am so that he didn't have to wait for it to wake up but after that he really got into waiting for the eyes to open and the 30min count down to wake up helps to reassure him. The set-up isn't very intuitive so wait until you have time to read the manual properly and then it's fairly straight forward. Worth the money for that extra hour in bed certainly!

Our nearly 2yo little girl is sleeping a lot better through the night thanks to the combination of Sam the Sheep and the JoJo sleep suits. This came over the daylight saving change, so it was no mean feat when she stayed in bed until the sheep's eyes opened. Like the other reviews we had to look up set-up instructions online.

Great idea! Only annoying aspect is you can't set a specific go to sleep time eg 7.30pm, only the wake up time so you have to set it every night as your putting your child to bed!

Overall quite happy with this clock. It does take a bit of time to read instructions and figure out how to use, it is not super clear which buttons to push to set all the options, did figure it out eventually that it is the right hand arrow to set each option, before you can move on. We are using the light option on kids, but the light even on 1 is bright enough to wake them, so we never make it to the blue light in the morning, its green light then go in our house! Also I have not figured out how to turn the light off if you hit it immediately seem to have to wait 5mins before it goes off again?... quite a pain when you bump it and trying to get them to sleep! Think we will try the 'baa-ing' option maybe when they a bit older. Overall it has meant an end to 5-5.30am wake ups and now a respectable 6am.

The Sleeptrainer delivers! My son used to stood next to our bed at 6 every morning. But since we got the sheep for him, he learned to stay in bed longer. I think the eyes of the sheep and the sound he is making does the trick. It has been over a month ago and I am very content.

Last month when I was in the UK, I bought this product for my little one of 3.5. I really love this sheep as he looks very cute and make such an adorable sound! At first it looks quite complicated but after going through the instruction manual a couple of times, it will get easier. My child does listen to the Sleeptrainer, he stays in bed a little bit longer! You can adjust it to a preferable time. The price is reasonable, since you get what you pay for!

My 3 year old son loved this, especially the baa-ing sound even though on the loudest setting he still sleeps through it! However quality is poor it regularly locks up and needs resetting and now after just a couple of months it has completely broken.

Best purchase ever. I love it as it made bedtime and nap time more fun. Two and a half year old really pleased with it every time Sam wakes up and always reminds me to put him to sleep.

Here is a link to the video, which should help with instructions youtube.com/watch?v=2XoGOlEBrcE
To make sam go to bed and close his eyes, use the down button to set the time you want him to wake up, once set, his eyes will shut automatically. If you want the same wake up time each day, and dont want to keep setting the time, just press the down button for 3 seconds and his eye will shut until wake up time.

supposedly really good but the instructions are incomplete. Can someone write down how to wake Sam up and how to make him go to sleep on command? Quite useless without these instructions

Bought this for my 3 year old and love it. Instructions a little lacking but once I'd figured out how to put Sam to sleep, he's a great visual symbol for when it's sleep time! I like how the time is displayed in both analogue and digital forms simultaneously. Only drawback is the clock face isn't visible from all angles, but hey, the room is small so this isn't a huge problem. Like how the backlight brightness is controllable so you can make the room darker if need be.

Thank you to the helpful people at jojo both at customer service and Exeter branch in helping me choose this, after little five yr old girl had hornet in her room and was terrified to go to sleep - Samm the sheep gives her confidence in her room it night as she can see if it is almost morning - he glows different colours to indicate if almost time to get up- and opens his eyes when timeout is time to get up - we also put him to sleep at night together - he closes his eyes when you set the timer. Plus he has an alarm (baa, tweet or standard beep) - the baa-ing is a huge hit! It has been a really good buy, she loves him and also he is helping to teach her the time as well - and doesn't tick either, hands on clock are part of the LED display. Have used jojo lots over the years, have found them a v helpful company selling useful and innovative products.

If you check the youtube & look for Sam instructions they are brilliant.
    Good luck!

The clock looks good. The problem? The instructions for programming it are poorly written and printed in a TINY font, making programming such a headache that we haven't been able to start using it yet!
