We bought this because our daughter was screaming at bath time when we had to wash her hair. We called the shampoo guard her "magic hat" and she loves it. We can wash her hair with no water in her eyes and bathtime is fun again. Definitely worth the money.

The guard works perfectly well when my son lets me put it on him. I would suggest purchasing this sooner rather than later so they aren't too wily to know why you're putting it on them.

This really is good. It does exactly what it says - keeps the water out of your child's eyes and ears. Easy to use and definitely money well spent!

This is particularly brilliant no tears at hair wash for the first time in years. She is four and a half

This product has totally transformed bath times for us! My daughter hated having her hair washed until we bought her 'the Captain's hat' (thanks to the reviewer who came up with that!) and now she giggles every time she puts it on and insists on looking at herself in the mirror before we wash her hair. It really does work and hair-washing is so much easier now. I wish we'd found this 6 months ago.

This product works and keeps water out of their face and eyes. My little boy still doesn't like his hair washing despite this, but I don't think that is the products fault!

Bathtime was an unenjoyable time for my daughter as she always anticipated the water getting into her eyes. Now thanks to the shampoo guard it has become 'fun time'. Its simple and works well resulting in a happy child!!!

The post is not as fast as it says, but the product is good to use.

This is an very useful tool - with this the water and shampoo will not go into my boy's ears and eyes - only if he is happy for us to put this on him! Now we are trying to praise him how lovely he is whenever we put this on him and hopefully he would allow it to stay on his head for a bit longer.

Found this quite awkward to use, couldnt quite get the pressure or position right to make a seal round my little ones head so water still went over her face. Will try practice more when she will let me!

After convincing my son to try the new shampoo guard, he discovered that this does indeed protect his eyes from the shampoo so now bath time is a lot less stressful! Recommend.

Wish I had bought this earlier! FAB item. No more tears. works equally well with smaller (age1) and larger size (age 3) heads with a really good fit.
Delivered within two days of ordering. No longer any stress at hair washing time. thanks JoJo

I love this product. Washing hair used to be a nightmare and our little ones used to get very upset. With this on they carry on playing, no water/shampoo goes on their face and it's all done in no time now! Brilliant, should have bought it sooner!

Love the idea of calling it the captains hat, seems to fit well & be sturdy. Having a bit of trouble convincing our 2 year olds to use it in the bath but sure it will have lots of use as they get the idea.

My boys were a little wary of this at first but I called it the captain's hat after another reviewer mentioned it and hey presto, they love it! It is great for my eldest who has grommets and is not meant to get his ears wet. It shields eyes and ears from water. For my youngest (23 months) we need two people, one to push it against his head to provide sufficient suction and another person to pour water. But this is much better than the alternative upset at soap on the face. Best product for the job I have tried.

Not very useful for small babies. My 18mth old would simply get scared when id put it close to her head. She had rejected this item since then and its lying idle in the bathroom. Maybe its more for bigger kids.

Great item, we also have the rinse cup and use them together. My husband refers to the guard as 'the captain's hat', and my boys love it!

I couldn't be without this at bath time - an invaluable product.
It's very good quality too - still using ours 3 years down the line, yet it looks the same now as the day it arrived.
This is definitely an item I recommend to new mums.

Avoid a tantrum on hair washing night.

This useful device has a flexible silicone edge that sits flush against the forehead, forming a water tight seal, and keeping water and shampoo away from eyes and face. Holding the guard with one hand you can use the shower head to rinse out the shampoo with clean water.
