Amy & Julie started Cheeky Chompers to help make parents’ lives easier by providing safe, super-practical teething products. They share with us how they’ve expanded their range and recently launched their new Every Cloud campaign to celebrate all the lockdown babies and their families, and give back to a charity that supports perinatal mental health.


From mums to mumpreneurs

We became friends at an antenatal class and then lived through the challenges of teething with our own little ones. We were fed up of lost, dropped and dirty teethers, so we invented the world’s first teething bib, the Neckerchew – a super-absorbent dribble bib with safe teether attached. Sometimes the simplest ideas really are the best!


We set up our business Cheeky Chompers on the back of this experience and haven’t looked back, with an ever-expanding, innovative product range that aims to make parents’ lives that little bit easier – from teething essentials, to luxurious travel blankets, and multi-use, sustainably-made muslins. We even featured on Dragon’s Den in the early days…we were one of the ones that got away!


After over 8 years in the business, we’ve really become experts on all things teething, so for all those going through this stage with their babies, you can find some helpful answers to your teething questions and some useful advice in our teething blog. Hang on in there…it does get better!


The story behind our Every Cloud campaign

When the pandemic hit, we felt so much for all the new parents and carers stuck at home without their usual support networks, as well as for grandparents not able to share precious moments with their new grandbabies. So, we set about creating a unique design to celebrate and recognise all the silver lining lockdown babies and their families.

We feel our Every Cloud design captures this perfectly, with its adorable smiling clouds, shooting stars and pastel rainbows. There’s even beautiful silver stitching around the clouds, to symbolise the silver lining all these little lockdown babies represent! We hope it will put a smile on the faces of many teething tots and parents alike, as well as comfort and soothe all those little ones wearing it.

Helping support perinatal mental health

It was really important to us that we gave something back with our Every Cloud campaign, so we are proud to say that 10% of profits from our Every Cloud products go to the PANDAS Foundation – the UK’s most recognised and trusted support service to support parents with any mental health problems associated with pregnancy, birth and beyond. This service relies on donations to run its free support services, operated by a team of dedicated volunteers. We feel this is even more important during these times when many services have been reduced or, in some cases, unavailable.
