Ants live in colonies called a formicary and are super strong! They can carry 50 times their own body weight and will work together the move bigger objects around.

There are around 10,000 different species of birds in the world. The largest is the Ostrich and the smallest is the Bee Hummingbird.

Beware of the crocodile bite, it’s the strongest of any animal in the world! They can lay up to 60 eggs at a time and some only live to 30 years, but others can survive up to 75.

Their name means ‘double beamed’ because they had the longest neck and tail. They weighed around 12 tons, which is as much as a large truck!

3 types of elephant exist: the African Savannah, the African Forest and the Asian elephant. They are the world’s largest land animal and their tusks never stop growing, so if they’re really long, the elephant is really old!

Flamingos are actually born white – it takes them around 3 years to get their pink-toned feathers from their food (shrimps & algae). The brighter their feathers, the more well-fed they are.

They are the tallest living land animals thanks to their long necks. A male giraffe can grow to 5.5 metres tall – that’s taller than three adult humans standing on each other!

These little critters have prickly spines everywhere except their face, legs and bellies. When they feel danger approaching, they curl into a tight ball to protect their softer parts.
