Introducing: The Rainforest Collection

We’ve been working on reducing our carbon footprint through a variety of measures, including using only renewable energy sources in all our UK stores, and sourcing packaging from businesses local to our factories. We’ve also been working to make a bigger impact on the climate through tree planting initiatives and other global projects.

We have partnered with fellow B Corp ClimateCare to compensate for a proportion of our carbon emissions through a conservation project in the Gola rainforest in Sierra Leone. Gola is a unique and biodiverse rainforest with global importance for key species of fauna and flora. It plays a crucial role in offsetting the world’s carbon emissions and finance from companies like ours is essential to protect the 140,000 hectares of rainforest.

Our new Rainforest Collection has been inspired by the animals of the Gola

Millions of tonnes of carbon are locked within Gola’s trees, so it’s vital that they are protected. To safeguard this important rainforest, the project works with local communities, delivering
a variety of initiatives, including:

• Sustainable cocoa farming.
• Investing in infrastructure for schools & hospitals.
• Supporting local people through school scholarships and small business loans.

Did you know...

•There are over 330 bird species found in the Gola rainforest.
• The Gola rainforest was the location of David Attenborough’s first appearance on BBC television in 1956.
• The project reduces global carbon emissions by half a million tonnes of CO2 every year.
