Get some kids’ wellies on and take your little one out and about and challenge them to see how many puddles they can hop in! You can also encourage them to enjoy a mindful moment by asking them to stand in a puddle and gently tap their feet, counting the ripples they make. Or see if they can build a bridge across the puddle and walk across it without falling in!

Stomp, splash and toddle through trees, jumping, playing and crunching leaves. Take your little one on an enchanting woodland walk, listen to the raindrops as they bounce on the leaves of trees and see what tiny treasures you can find along the way. From acorns to pinecones, colourful leaves and conkers, you can make a little treasure map or a game of bingo for your little ones to play as they hunt for nature’s magical trinkets. Bring your foraged fancies back home and perhaps it’s time for kids arts and crafts...

Make a cosy corner and pick out your favourite activity book, story book or audiobook and slip into a world of imagination, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the rain outside. Mmm... how cosy!
