I measured my child's feet to ensure they'd fit (measured 5.5 I ordered 6) but when they arrived I physically couldn't get her feet in the boots. The velcro opening only goes down to just over the ankle meaning they were quite restricting on getting the foot in. Perhaps my child has a high instep so I haven't order another size as I felt certain i'd still struggle to get them on. I bought these boots for my baby daughter. She is 14 months old and a good walker. They are good quality and she is now happy to walk in them. One thing though. I noticed that jojo has two different and contradictory size charts, in one size 3 (UK) corresponds to size 20 European, on another to Size 19. In reality, however, they do not do a 19, all shoes (and I checked this with head-office) are a size 20 (as printed underneath the shoe/boot). Size 20 is size 40. My 21 month old son loves these boots! When he tried them on he didn't want to take them off, so I have no doubts about how comfortable they are. We go on weekly walks through the forest, collecting conkers and walking through muddy puddles his feet are kept clean and dry at all times. They are also super easy to clean, so they are easy to get ready for our next adventure. I was excited to find winter boots that fit my daughters wide foot and high arch. They are very comfortable and warm. I am disappointed by the durability of the boots. We are only half way through winter and the sole of the boots worn through so bad at the heals that I'm not sure if it's actually going to last long enough to see winter through. As other people have said, they aren't in the least bit waterproof so in anything other than fresh snow, feet will get wet. They appear to be toasty warm though. I absolutely love these wellies and wish I had discovered them earlier! Really pleased with these winter snow boots. Bought a pair for each little one. The product is really well made as expected from JoJo. The fluffy lining is really soft and smuggle keeping little toes toasty warm. They are not too heavy either, really light weight so kids can still run and move about freely. The boots are stylish and comfy but our little one wore them on a cloudy/rainy day and his socks got completely wet... we appreciate though these aren't water proof but we could imagine that if these were worn on a snowy day (with drops of rains) then his socks would be wet too...   V Ma , 23/11/2014

These are fantastic boots! There are various reviews commenting on water repellency...my advice is to buy some waterproofer. I use NikWax but there are other brands. I use the direct spray which dries on the product. I did this twice on my sons and daughters boots and the difference was significant. They were splash proof before but now they are rain proof! I still wouldn't have them in standing water as nylon is never going to be good enough for that, but I certainly haven't had wet feet and they were out in them today in pretty heavy rain! I chose to do this as the boots are so soft and according to my 4 year old more comfortable than the stiffer, thicker soled waterproof boots JoJo sell. My 18mth old can run around in these as the sole is so flexible. I would recommend getting a size up to allow for winter socks as they are not generously sized.   Kellie , 22/11/2014

This is the worst snow boots I have ever bought. My son used it on a sunny cold day to play in the garden and they got wet. I tried another sunny day to go for a walk in the woods with the same result. On the top of that, customer services didn't listen to my complain and insisting that the boots are not water proof. One thing is that the boots are not prepared to keep the foot dry in standing water and another thing is they can't even resist a walk in the woods! Love love these snowboots. My daughter walks slightly in with her feet and therefore i really need flexible shoes and snowboots. Flexible snowboots are so hard to find i almost gave up until i read the reviews here. These are amazing, they are so flexible you can really bend the sole which is so important for little ones, but still have a lot of grip too. Have been using these since daughter was 18 months and now on 3rd pair. Had to return the last one as she just gone up a size and will get bigger pair delivered this week. I also found with other snowboots that i couldnt get her feet in as it at all, even though her feet are not chubby. These are so easy to pop on and she can even do it herself too.
