Want to review Multi-Use Maternity Bump Bandeau ?

Brilliant! I’m 16 weeks and can continue to wear my trusty favourite jeans quite comfortably. I’m an 8/10 normally and went by the other reviews on here and plumped for the small (my initial thought was I’d need a medium) Like others said it’s a bit baggy at the top right now but that’s easily fixed by folding over the top part. Eye comfortable and the button and eyelit bit are genius! Definitely recommend x

    Vicky Louise , 12/05/2018

I bought this belly band at around 3 months when I started to struggle doing up my pre-pregnancy jeans and work trousers. Having tried on maternity jeans I found my bump wasn't big enough to fill out the fabric to keep them up so the lovely store assistant at the Newbury branch recommended this. It's made all of my trousers last up to 6.5 months. Pre-pregnancy i'm a size 10 and so bought the small, I find Jojo's sizes come up big (I now fit their size 8 maternity jeans) so doubled it over for the first few weeks and then was able to wear the whole length as bump grew. I'd definitely recommend this product.

    Emily Young , 19/04/2018

A fantastic product to keep non maternity clothes lasting longer (when they fit everywhere apart from the waist band). This has allowed me to wear work trousers for much longer and I will continue to for the next weeks/months. Although the whole band (size small) doesn't fit yet, I have folded the top part down, this has concealed the buttons and left a smooth finish, perfect for use under shirts/more flowing tops.

    Nic B , 30/03/2018

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with this item. If you do wish to discuss further please drop us an email at [email protected], Jo at JoJo

Huge - bought a medium and I am 12/.14 before preg and 17 weeks, these are huge, dont fit snugly - defo go down a size!

    Jane Jane , 22/03/2018

Great band to allow you to wear non maternity trousers in the early months. You do need to size down though. I am a dress size 12-14 and the small size fits perfectly with plenty of room for a growing bump.

    Megan Wood , 11/02/2018

Very comfortable and soft to wear. Still wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans and the button and button holes means they stay up even though I now have to leave the zip undone! Looks seamless under clothes apart from where the buttons are which is to be expected! A fab product from early to late pregnancy!

    Samantha Avery , 03/02/2018

Well made and structured compared with other examples on the market. It works for some of my trousers especially my work ones with the button on the side, but with front fly trousers you can still see a strange lumpy area where the fly is undone.

    Rose McCloskey , 21/01/2018

It’s a great idea but the button holes are quite far apart so doesn’t feel like some trousers are held up securely.

    Karen Karen , 15/10/2017

Really useful. I got this when I was 16 weeks and couldn't do up trousers anymore. The button and button hole mean I can carry on wearing them for a bit longer with the band over the top.

    Alex S , 23/09/2017

Absolutely great! 31 weeks pregnant and I use a belt extender to use my normal pants as long as possible. This bandeau allows me to cover the ugly sight of belt extender, and now, I can wear a good variety of tops and not tunics!

    C Sengul , 01/09/2017

I bought this the same time as a pair of maternity trousers and it's just brilliant! it puts less pressure on the top of your bump and means that you can wear jeans you already know fit and are comfortable!... It did take me a little while to get used to but that said it's a great way of extending your jeans and saving money on maternity wear.
I needed to buy a size down from the ones listed as otherwise I was just swimming in fabric! I love the holes to put your jeans buttons through it saves any need for hairbands around buttons! Highly recommended.

    Nu Shearman , 27/08/2017

Thank you for your feedback Val at JoJo.

Haven't worn this heaps but it is handy however find the button holes a bit wide and buttons can sometimes fall out. It doesn't work with a lot of my trousers that have inside buttons or fasteners. Does mean I can continue to wear my own jeans just now but don't think I will wear it for long.

    L Morrice , 25/06/2017

I really liked the theory of this product and feel it's well made. I have two issues 1) it doesn't work with all my trousers; fine with standard jeans, but not with work trousers where the button is inside, but you can easily reverse the band inside out and sort of make it work. 2) when wearing with jeans or other, the back keeps riding up when I sit down and exposing me. It got me a lot of strange stares especially as I haven't told work yet :( It would be great if this product could be reviewed and include a small strap to put through the belt loop at the back.

    Ellie P , 06/06/2017

I love this band - I have been using it consistently every time I wear my trousers. I'm so glad I wont need to buy maternity trousers anytime soon! The material is thick and comfy too...

    Cat Viana , 20/02/2017

Great idea - and worked really well for the first couple of days, and is a nice, wide stretch of fabric.

But then it stretched and got larger, so is no longer doing its job of holding up my jeans. A shame, and a waste of £15. I also think the construction is a bit flimsy in places - the button and button holes don't look very strong. Advise people to buy a size smaller, I am a size 18 pre-pregnancy and think I might have been better off with the 12-14 (medium) size.

I don't usually write reviews but I do feel a bit let down about this product.

    Emily Batchelor , 16/02/2017

Brilliant idear can wear you ordinary cloths up to 20 wks plus saves money

    Jane Frost , 12/01/2017

Works with all my button trousers and jeans. Comes up quite large though - I might buy size small and move into the medium as I grow!

    Victoria pack , 21/07/2016

Very helpful accessory and I'm please with it. Shame the button thread has started to fray already since I've only had it a couple of weeks and it hasn't been washed. Can easily be fixed though.

    Nicola , 07/07/2016

Great bump band. Has allowed me to stay in my jeans for much longer than I could otherwise have done. Very comfortable and supportive. Great to be able to button into the band for security. As other reviewers have mentioned it would be nice to have an attachment at the back too as sometimes the back of the jeans slips down a little but most bands have no attachments at all so this one still wins.

    Lisa Jean , 27/06/2016

I'm not quite big enough to fill the band out yet but it works fine if I roll it half way. Comfy and fabric seems good quality - a little bit too thick for a holiday in Greece I have discovered!! The only drawbacks are the buttons and the back - the buttons are too small for the button holes in the two pairs of trousers I have worn it with and I'll have to replace them somehow or they slip out, and the back seems too large and rides up. I'm going to try and fashion something to attach it to the back belt loop on my jeans but haven't fathomed quite how yet.

    Tessa , 24/06/2016

What a fantastic product, I was going on holiday and as I was only 14 weeks pregnant I wasn't big enough to be in full maternity clothes. With this band I was able to comfortably wear my regular cropped trousers, shorts and holiday clothes for the two weeks that we were away. I'm sure that I will still be using this for weeks to come

    Nic Ryder , 24/06/2016

Fantastic addition to an early pregnancy wardrobe. Remarkably easy to use and comfortable! I bought the size 10 in black. I am usually a size 10 and even with a small bump appearing, it fits very well with plenty of room to grow.

    Claire , 29/04/2016

Hi Morena, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear of your disappointment. Either myself or one of the other Customer Service Team will be in touch with you directly. Best Wishes, Jo Pembridge, CS Team.

    Customer Service Team , 27/04/2016

Although the product is quite good, I lost the button provided on the first day I put it on. There should be a more secure way to keep the button attached, I did not even realised it was not fixed. So I would buy a different brand with an attached button instead.

Lost the button first time I wore the bandeau , 27/04/2016

Hi Susan, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear of your disappointment. Either myself or one of the other Customer Service Team will be in touch with you directly. Best Wishes, Jo Pembridge, CS Team.

    Customer Service Team , 21/04/2016

The fit was ok but the button holes seem too large for my trousers and I was always worrying about it popping out. I didn't like how the back kept riding up and I'm constantly needing to adjust it back under my trousers to stop flashing! Not great when it would ride up at the front too! I tried wearing it different ways, over the front, tucked into the trousers, but it would always ride up and expose my back and belly. Great idea just needs to be more secure.

    Susan betts , 20/04/2016

I have found this really useful, especially in the early weeks. However, I have found that it slips up at the back - i just fastened it to my belt loops on my jeans with a safety pin - this might change as the baby grows.

    b , 14/04/2016

Nice quality item, and it has been useful. I bought small but its slipping a fair amount. Its a shame as I really need it to cover up normal work trousers that won't do up! I'm 5 3 and 18 weeks with a still small bump. Suspect it will be a better fit in a few weeks.

    Ann , 13/04/2016

Brilliant bump band, I'm back in my pre-pregnancy trousers that I thought would be lost to me for at least another 6months! Really comfortable and easy to use.

    Jo , 12/04/2016

    Good product

    Sarah , 21/03/2016

Now bought these bump bandeaus in black and in white. Really useful as an interim step between normal jeans and maternity jeans. Their nice snug fit means you're comfortable and well covered, no flashes of anything you don't want seen! The buttons are handy too, but I tend to use them without as I find its easier to fold the jeans/trousers underneath for a neater, less lumpy finish. These are really useful bits of kit, I certainly recommend. I am normally a size 10 and found small the correct fit for me.

    Kate , 17/03/2016

I really like my bump bands. Nice and thick stretchy material which feels robust. I'm currently wearing them over my regular trousers that don't do up and they work a treat. They also feel soft and supportive and I am predicting I'll be making a to of use of them as my bump expands and needs some comfort. Good price for the quality.

    JW , 11/03/2016

Works well with my work trousers! I also intend to use it to cover my belly during breastfeeding. The only downside is that it does not help keeping my maternity jeans in place during early preganancy, as advertised. It is not quite tight enough however my bump will be growing in the next few weeks so the problem might resolve.

    Catherine St-Gelais , 04/03/2016

This is a great quality and comfortable bump band. I would definitely recommend it.

    Anna , 02/02/2016

This has been a great bridge between 'normal' clothes and maternity wear so far. Comfortable and easy to use!

    Sarah , 02/02/2016

Website was straightforward and easy to use, prompt delivery. I ordered the bump band after a friend told me how useful and comfortable they are. I would recommend them.

    Jen , 19/01/2016

I'm usually a size 10, so I ordered the bandeau in Small. It's quite big, there's definitely place to fit in my growing bump! Wouldn't be able to wear until I have a considerably big bump though, as it sizes rather big. That said, lovely quality, with buttons made to fit on your trousers. Soft to the touch.

    Rachel , 18/01/2016

Really impressed with this product, will come in handy! After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little concerned it would be on the big side. However a small seems fine for me (usually 8-10 & just into 2nd trimester).

    A Murphy , 13/01/2016

I'm happy with my band. It washes easily and is a good way to make your existing clothes flexible and last a little longer. The only issue for me is that the band is a bit big even though it's a small, but I'm too big for my normal clothes :-( and I'm not tiny!

    Kate , 29/12/2015

Great product! I am size 8 -10 ( 20 weeks pregnant) and have ordered small but is a bit big but in a few weeks it will be ok. Good quality and worth the money

    Vi , 21/12/2015

I quite like this, but don't buy it if you think you can button your trousers to it - the button is quite flimsy and somehow it doesn't quite work. So three stars. Nice fabric and it is quite supportive though so not a dead loss.

    Lulu , 01/12/2015

I am 100% satisfied with the bump band that i bought, as it really helps for that in-between sizes stage of pregnancy. I dont feel the need to rush out and buy martinity wear just yet as the bump band may just get me through the next couple of months. This one in particular is especially good, as it fixes onto the buttons of your trousers, so feels really secure. Great product and would highly recommend.

    Julie Adams , 27/11/2015

I am only just starting to grow out of my normal clothes and haven't used this in earnest yet but they are good quality fabric and look useful. Due to previous reviews I bought two-one in a smaller size than the chart recommends based on my dress size and at the moment at least the smaller is the more useful one. Also agree that something to help keep the back of your trousers up would be helpful but overall happy with the purchase.

    Gemma , 22/10/2015

Really handy for the in between phase! I found this very handy so I could wear my usual clothes for a good while longer until actual maternity trousers started to fit me. Absolutely worth the money, I'll probably keep wearing it for extra warmth under my clothes during the cold months.

    Anna , 18/10/2015

I don't really like the way this fits as my trousers seem to fall down at the back. The small is the right size for me and I was a size 12 pre-pregnancy.

    Rebecca Moyle , 08/10/2015

Wow! Best £15 spent ever. Really happy that @ 23 weeks I can still wear my normal work trousers with this band over them. Really comfy and gives me a great shape too :)

    R L Mcritchie , 07/10/2015

Love the bump bandeau! I can wear all my skirts/jeans/trousers still as I'm not quite big enough for maternity clothes. Only complaint is that I still find it a little too big as was previously a petite size 6. But a fantastic product.

    Cindy , 03/10/2015

I'm not convinced. Read all the positive reviews and thought this must be worth getting. Tried it with normal jeans and under-bump maternity jeans for extra coverage but it kept slipping up off my hips. Definitely needs a button loop in the back to secure it to belt loop on normal jeans. Can't recommend it as it didn't work for me.

    Aitch CJ , 30/09/2015

The band is quite useful to make your trousers and jeans last longer into pregnancy. I started using from week 16. However, it could be improved by some sort of connection to the back of trousers - it does feel a bit like you're going to expose yourself at any minute! Also, I tend to wear high waist jeans and it is less effective on those, but for mid rise/low rise it works very well.

    Lucie , 22/09/2015

Very handy, the button and buttonhole mean you can attach this to trousers securely. It has occasionally risen up at the back, but better than any alternative I found.

    Mel , 15/09/2015

Really nice product, material is very nice, I got the small and it seems a good fit for me (usually a size 10). Haven't quite needed to use it 'in anger' yet (approx week 12 and most of my clothes are generally not tight fitting) but expect to in the next week or two, so I am pleased to have it handy!

    Julie , 12/09/2015

Brilliant product when jeans are getting tight but your bump is not big enough for maternity clothes. I'm 16 weeks. Sizes are generous, but small is fine for me and I'm a size 10-12

    Chrissie , 22/08/2015

Love this product. Highly recommended currently 18weeks and wearing with work trousers and jeans so have had no need to buy an maternity bottoms. Think this will last me some time. Will be advising family and friends who get pregnant to purchase one. Excellent.

    Sarah Cavanagh , 31/07/2015

Love this product. Highly recommended currently 18weeks and wearing with work trousers and jeans so have had no need to buy any maternity bottoms. Think this will last me some time. Will be advising family and friends who get pregnant to purchase one. Excellent.

    Sarah Cavanagh , 31/07/2015

Very useful in early pregnancy with my third child as my trousers quickly felt too tight but I wasn't ready for maternity clothes. I am wearing it every day at the moment. I'm a size 12/14 and small has fitted.

    NL , 21/07/2015

I purchased at 10.5 weeks jeans still fit me but only just I found I don't like anything touching my stomach so thought a soft band would help,I'm a curvy 16 and purchased a medium it still seems a bit big as back of my jeans still fall down so is very frustrating,I'm sure as I grow it will be more useful to me.

    carly , 07/07/2015

Great product - love how it has button holes and buttons so you can carry on wearing your non-maternity trousers for a bit longer.

    Paula McGoveney , 26/06/2015

This is the first bump band I've bought as a first time mum-to-be (at 18 wks) as I wanted to invest in one that sounded like it really worked. The button / buttonholes work really well and keep the front of my non-maternity trousers in place and offer good coverage. However, I've found that my trousers still tend to slip down at the back a bit, and to make the bandeau even better, it would be great to have the option of a clip at the back to hook through the belt loop. I am normally a size 12 in trousers and ordered a small, so it may be riding up as it's a bit on the small side (apparently small = 8-10), but any bigger and I'm not sure it would do the job. All in all though, the button feature works well and I feel it does the job so still think this was a really good investment to get a bit more life out of my trousers and my shorter, non-maternity tops!

    Anna , 22/06/2015

I'm 16 weeks and like others I found this a bit big even tho I bought the smallest size but will keep it as I naturally will continue to chub it on. Still hoping it will work with my regular trousers...if it does will get more.

    jess , 17/06/2015

The bump band is the perfect early pregnancy product, helping me to keep wearing my normal trousers but giving my ever expanding tummy room to breathe! I'm a 10/12 and needed a small, the medium were a little big on me. Can't recommend this product enough, I'd bought a few and my jojo version is by far the best quality and value for money!

    Gemma Lord , 15/06/2015

These are great for the early stages, when your trousers are a bit tight but the bump isn't quite big enough for maternity trousers. Also great for getting more use of regular tops that are not quite long enough.

    Tricia , 22/05/2015

Fantastic addition to my maternity wardrobe. My friend leant me hers, I used it every day. So nice not to have to go and buy a whole new wardrobe. I have since bought one for my friend who is now expecting. I found it wasn't so good with jeans but great for work and linen trousers.

    Lindsay Tomei , 28/04/2015

Just started using this at 17 weeks & so much comfier! Definitely a good investment!

    Kim , 26/04/2015

This is alright. The fit is quite big. I'm an 8/10 and a small is too big. It is also very thick so if you want to fold it over, you have a very large bulge under your shirt. If you wear it fully pulled up, it doesn't fit flush to your skin. I have since bought much better ones for half the price elsewhere - they don't have the button system but they hold my pre-pregnancy jeans up even better than this one and they are snugger and less bulky. I wouldn't recommend this one.

    Andrea , 11/03/2015

So glad I bought one of these, I was worried as some of the reviews online dont do the band justice. I'm 15 weeks with 1st baby and i can still fit in pre-pregnancy skinny jeans (27/28 inch waist, bought a small bump band just can't button them and the bump band means i can attach the button on the band to my jeans and still wear them! A godsend!! Don't worry about the bad reviews the button comes off so you can move it suit the jeans you're wearing. Will definitely be buying another band in a different colour

    J Stewart , 23/02/2015

Very comfy and warm. Has allowed me to keep wearing my own trousers for longer.

    Victoria Ferriby , 23/01/2015

I thought I should write a follow up to my review in November as I have been using the band more, and figured out there are two sizes of adjustment you can use which makes it more useful. I still find myself pulling up the back of my trousers a bit, but have used it quite a lot with my usual jeans and other trousers and it has definitely meant I can wear them for longer, plus it is comfortable.

    Jane , 28/12/2014

Great product, bought when I was around 15 weeks has helped me to continue wearing my own trousers and more importantly my skinny jeans. Band very comfortable over bump and keeps me and bump cosy. Ordered small and I'm at 12 so agree may come up a bit big.

    Ceilidh , 21/12/2014

Really comfy and practical, especially for Winter bumps! A lot more substantial than any of the ones I've found elsewhere. I'm a size 10 waist and the small size fits perfectly and accommodates a growing bump well. Worth buying two in different colours at the same time for the £5 discount.

    Hannah Marshall , 20/11/2014

I bought a small as I'm a UK 10 and fit is ok, will some room for growth. Weird double button thing fell off on first use and I can't work out how to make it work or sew it back on! Works well with jeans button though on the otherside. I agree with others here, I spend alot of time pulling up the back of my jeans as this band doesn't hold them up at all.

    Jenny Mason , 19/11/2014

Comfortable and comforting. This has allowed me to wear pre pregnancy jeans whilst maternity jeans are still too big. I love the secure feeling the bump band gives. Definately recommend it as an essential maternity item.

    Sam Boyce , 19/11/2014

The Jury's out - definitely comes up large so I bought a small one and I am probably a 12 at the moment and it's easily big enough - but will grow with me. It seem like a good idea, but there is no adjustment in terms of how far apart the button and hole are - this means that at 1o weeks pg and therefore only a bit big for my trousers, the settings are a bit too far apart and I found my trousers falling down / having a really saggy bottom. It's comfortable, and am hoping is more useful when I get bigger. Also, I would only wear under baggy tops as the silhouette you get is very bumpy and you could probably see that your trousers are open from the bumps (obviously it covers you up, just the bumpiness)

    Jane , 12/11/2014

Took a bit of getting used to- but finding these helpful worn over skinny jeans which I can no longer do up at all! Not sure how long they'll last for as bump seemed to be big from week 6- but it's making my normal clothes more comfortable in the mean time.

    Sonja , 14/10/2014

I bought two of these in size medium (I am normally around size 12, sometimes bigger around the waistline). I am really disappointed as they don't hold my trousers up and I spend the whole time pulling them up. Waste of money. I must be a strange shape. Had similar problems getting trousers to stay up during my first pregnancy and someone told me bands would help. They haven't.

    Julie , 12/10/2014

Brilliant product, makes wearing jeans comfortable, the button hole makes this the best version that I have found.

    Vicky , 09/10/2014

This is a great product. I love the fact I can wear my normal jeans and feel so comfortable.

    Camilla Harrison , 23/09/2014

Happy with the product. covers my bump and I like the buttons as will help keep my work trousers up!

    Rachel A , 12/09/2014

This is a great little gadget that can save you lots of money, especially in early pregnancy when you're still reluctant to wear full on pregnancy clothes. You can still wear your favourite trousers until your hips are too wide to fit it. I love it.

    Cosmina Cross , 21/08/2014

Excellent! Means I can wear my favourite jeans and trousers for ages! The build in button and button-hole is what others are missing! An XS option would be useful as the small is still a bit big for me (size 8/10) but I'm sure I'll grow into it!

    Hannah , 05/08/2014

I was quite excited when I got it but on wearing it for just one day realised it's not really a great investment..it did not hold.my stretchable pre-pregnancy jeans. The button holes were too large. The buttons were threaded in a flimsy way. I wish it had some way of staying with the jeans all the time like some loops for belting with the jeans.

    gia , 16/07/2014

Really pleased with this. Am a size 12 and after reading the reviews bought a small and it fits perfectly. It is very comfortable and means I can still wear my jeans and trousers.

    bt , 04/07/2014

Great purchase - I bought the small (am usually a size 10-12 in jeans) - good fit, using folded over at the moment as I don't have much of a bump, but means I can continue to wear my usual jeans. Currently at the in between stage where most of my jeans are too tight but maternity clothes are too big!

    Gemma K , 02/07/2014

Comfortable to wear, especially when in the early stages when nothing fits! Delivery was exceptionally fast. Great product!

    Leanne Amy , 16/06/2014

Fantastic product. Would prefer a few more extension slots but still great to be back in my skinny jeans!

    Victoria , 03/06/2014

Wish I'd discovered sooner! Good way to get more use out of normal trousers and better than the hairband trick.

    Victoria , 14/05/2014

Perfect for the in between stage when maternity clothes are too big. They are big sizes, I'm a size 12 and ordered small and fits perfectly.

    Helen , 14/05/2014

Love my new Bandeaus! My first pregnancy and didn't know what to expect in terms of how quickly I would need maternity clothes. This is a great way to get the most out of pre pregnancy trousers and tops. It is comfortable and like that it has the buttons to attach to your trousers. Great product, every pregnant mum to be should get one! The most difficult decision is which colour to buy!

Comfortable and comforting. This has allowed me to wear pre pregnancy jeans whilst maternity jeans are still too big. I love the secure feeling the bump band gives. Definately recommend it as an essential maternity item.

Took a bit of getting used to- but finding these helpful worn over skinny jeans which I can no longer do up at all! Not sure how long they'll last for as bump seemed to be big from week 6- but it's making my normal clothes more comfortable in the mean time.

Brilliant product, makes wearing jeans comfortable, the button hole makes this the best version that I have found.

Vicky , 09/10/2014

This is a great product. I love the fact I can wear my normal jeans and feel so comfortable.

Happy with the product. covers my bump and I like the buttons as will help keep my work trousers up!

Really pleased with this. Am a size 12 and after reading the reviews bought a small and it fits perfectly. It is very comfortable and means I can still wear my jeans and trousers.

Measuring Guidelines

  • We advise you to buy your pre-pregnant size. Styles have been cut to allow for your changing shape but should fit the following approximate figure measurements.
  • Please note that garment measurements vary according to the design.
  • Items sized S, M, L are cut in extra stretchy fabric to fit both size groups.
  • Lengths are calculated from under the waistband on skirts, nape of neck to hem on dresses and inside leg on pants and shorts.
  • Many waistbands are soft, stretchy jersey which can be rolled up over or under the belly.
  • Some waistbands on maternity clothes (where stated) have adjustable button elastic. For comfort and fit, simply adjust the width by moving from one buttonhole to the next as you grow and take in again after the birth.
