The little wedding guest

Between weaving in and out of wedding guest chatter, and pinching a slice of cake (or two!), mini attendees need comfy kids’ occasionwear so they can dance in every direction. From elegant embroideries, ruffle shoulders and smocked detailing in our girls’ dresses, to charming boys shirts, rompers and waistcoat sets, little ones will be feeling oh-so grown up in their smart, stylish partywear.

Top tip: Take photos as early in the day as possible to avoid messy outfits and overtiredness.

Remember: It’s all in the details! Add a bow or flowery headband for a finishing touch so they’ll be ready for those petal-scattered moments.

Girls’ Occasionwear  Boys’ Ocassionwear

Even with their comfy occasion sets, we know some tiny dancers would rather be running around the dance floor in something super stretchy. If you’re planning on packing extra play clothes, cosy girls’ sweatshirt sets and boys’ sweatshirt sets are perfect for singing, dancing, can’t-stop-laughing moments at the reception.

Wedding activities for kids

For the full-of-beans mischief-makers, we can all agree; weddings aren’t exactly the most entertaining for kids! If you’re a guest or even planning your own, you might want to consider a few key items for a kids’ wedding activity pack to keep restless wrigglers entertained. Soft play such as ball pits, space hoppers, outdoor toys and garden games are perfect wedding activities for kids during the social hours when drinks and canapés are being served. Colouring books can go a long way, especially at the wedding tables, so why not make some children’s wedding activity packs for little party guests and fill a bag with activity books, stickers, games and puzzles and a groovy little accessory like sunglasses? If you’d like to set them on something more interactive, you could organise a scavenger hunt such as “hiring” them to be little photographers with a list of items they need to capture throughout the day - and it’s a great way to bring out their confidence in a new environment. And whilst they’ll be plenty occupied, don’t forget to bring a familiar soft toy or children’s books as it might help them feel more at ease in a large guest setting, and they make the perfect distractions during vows and speeches.

Planning bits for your littlest

It’s a busy old business saying hello to all the new faces, especially if you’ve only just made your way into the world. Navigating a wedding with a precious bundle might seem daunting, but worry not! There will always be precious moments scattered around their day-to-day routine, even at such a special event.

A good place to start is packing their changing essentials. Consider all the items, such as changing mats, which changing bag is best to use and where to store it for easy access - perhaps there’s a storeroom at the venue? You also might want to bring a spare outfit just in case of little leaks & accidents. Opt for high-quality baby sleepsuits that have adorable details perfect for a sophisticated setting and don’t forget accessories such as baby socks & tights.

Next, plan your little one’s feeds. Ask the bride and groom for a schedule of the day, as you may be able to work around it. If you are still breastfeeding, you might want to make sure the venue has some quiet spots for feeds, and pack any bottles, formula and a travel steriliser if necessary - don’t forget some muslin squares for little dribbly moments. If they’re on solids, then make sure their own food and snacks are taken care of, along with some baby bibs to catch any messy spills and smudges on their special outfits. Pram toys are a must-have for the entertainment side of things and our baby blankets make the snuggliest essential to drift off for a snooze in. Lastly, consider their sleep patterns and don’t feel bad if you need to leave the reception early; their routine still matters.

Things might not go as planned – and that’s ok! As long as you set realistic expectations and make sure you’re well prepared, it can make all the difference. The day will still be special, no matter the outcome and you’ll always treasure those remember-forever moments.
